Its not a issue of QA/QC. I was frantic when I saw and read everything but my minds been changed. This piece is a masterpiece to the point that it's not a toy but more a maquette of the character it represents. The builds not weak and the engineering is fantastic and it's meant to be held with kid gloves. I love my collection and handle all pieces with care and this will be no different.

@evans56942 The figure itself is not weak. Joints are tight and can withstand playing. It's the minor things like alignment and some little construction faults that made a lot of people frustrated.
I wish they included Hotrod's Targetmaster from The Rebirth, but if I remember right the Takara G1 cartoon doesn't include The Rebirth and Rodimus Convoy didn't have his Targetmaster in the Headmasters cartoon. So maybe Hasbro could add the Targetmaster in the American release of MP Rodimus.

Looks like this MP is a real MESS: in amazon.co.jp the average review is just TWO STARS, neither Starscream MP Takara got such bad review. Most of complains are the transformation (too difficult) and the details, wich are very simple.
200 bucks?! I rather buy Takara Tommy Starscream MP or Grimlock.
@Gridseeker In my opinion, the really good masterpiece are Convoy and Grimlock. Starscream is quite good, if not for the stress marks that appear in various places.
They have GOT to be Kidding! THIS is masterpiece? Compare that to Optimus Prime, the very first. The plastic build quality of these pieces of crap can't really be worth the price. This line rides on the popularity from the very first MP01, and you're paying for the label now more than the toy. It can't be worth more than a leader class figure and I feel couldn't hold a candle to the last ROTF Leader Prime.
@powermasterjazz Yes, getting the alignments all correct is the key to a near perfect transformation. We need to be patient with this one, just like MP Megatron.

I had some of these same problems with MP Megatron...not really a big deal to me. You just gotta be careful with it and get the alignment perfect
