It's tempting to say that the ball could have been done using cgi, since it does look like it movies weird, but if you look closely, you can see its shadow on the backboard.

That, and the net moving are just too difficult, effect-wise, for any amateurs to make on their own. Thus, I say its real. Unless it's part of some viral marketing campaign or some effects team's proof of concept.
