Many gop Senators and people like them will next want our military to take pay cuts and lose there pensions. Next the police, fireman ect... shame shame on them. Soulless Evildoer fools. They are like sheep to the rich, foolish in thought and mind spineless jellyfish,is what they are.
Much like the movie, Trainspotting, the next 'fix' is going to kill the patient. It is a shame the tainted syringe is shared with the rest of the world.
First, its not a bad thing that workers will get paid. What do you have against the working class?
If they are so well off maybe you should join them.
Second, it wont even go into the unions pocket aside from the fact that they get paid to work so anything a company makes, part goes into workers pockets.
Third, it will go into manufacturing changes/improvements. You couldnt have been listening to the talks about the 15bil bailout or you would know that.
But then I assume you want to see conspiracies instead. You would rather believe the car companies will never refit their factories and change their model of business. Why believe that when you can just complain about how workers are going to get paid.
Also, just because your job doesnt pay pension doesnt mean pensions are bad, just means that maybe you arent worth investing in.
Or maybe your job is cushy enough that it doesnt cause health issues.
1 - Treasury bailouts: Bear Stearns, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, AIG, Citigroups $306 Billion bad debt guarantee, plus the $700 billion (which is in addition to the previous)
and
2 - The Federal Reserve Loans, Bad Debt Swaps and outright transfers
Bloomberg says that the total amount committed is $8.5 Trillion
That, in money corrected for inflation,
IS TWICE WHAT OUR COST FOR FIGHTING WWII WAS.
And these jerks want to complain about $15 Billion
This is obviously all about the unions. Rs won't help the auto industry because of the unions. They'll happily throw $700 billion at the banking industry where there are no unions, however. Coincidence?
They complain about $15 Billion to the Auto Makers while they have given Hundreds and Hundreds of Billions, going on Trillions to Fat Cat Bankers, with no transparency. The GAO cannot even determine where the Wall Money money went.
And yet they complain about $15 Billion to Detroit.
It is the best Congress that Wall Street money can buy. Too bad Detroit, you were outbid.
well, the gop is making up for that bank-ass-fuck. trying to look like they scrutinize before they vote. BS they didn't even read the bank bailout before voting for it.
They had no more then 50 seats in the senate from 2006.
Then for the house, they barely had a majority, but nothing with power that didnt need bush to go along to get anything done and nothing that republicans couldnt shoot down by just getting a few dems on board.
The whole talking point of a dem majority is done by repubs who want to blame everything in the bush pres on dems. I dont like Pelosi/Reid but the dems have had no meaningful/practical majority til 2009
hey, i'm not into the good cop bad cop bullshit. all i'm saying is that the party of CONSERVATISM once again voted for socialism. that's all. no biggie.

if any senate staff look at these - please let the automakers file bankruptcy
this bailout is just going to go straight to the union pockets
let them go bankrupt and restructure

$15 Billion is less than the pocket change to the
CROOKS ON WALL STREET.
The Wall Street guys should not be receiving OUR money,
They should be receiving subpoenas.

everybody pushed the bailout. You would hear most from her because shes the lead of the house.
Paulson is a repub, the repubs went with it for awhile then turned back until they were given enough pork to make them happy.
