this game is pretty sick once you learn how to link good arial combos and switch between weapons and targets fluently. Never had this much fun with any other series of brawlers except god of war. I'm going to try dantes inferno and see if that's any good although i didn't like the demo, but i heard it had a good story and gamplay get better as you play more.

trust me dude, buy it, you wont be dissapointed. i got it in the post yesturday and already played 12+ hours. as you guessed its a bit like Gow meets Dmc (possibly a hint of 'Prototype' if you ever played that). but its not one of those wannabe games if thats what you were thinking. i would definitely say its innovative. if you liked Dmc or Gow, you should buy this.

I Completed it yesterday, its worth it, it has got elements from DMC and GOW but its in no way a clone of the two, the main gameplay is closer to a zelda game, theres dungeons with bosses and keys what is basially a boomerang,a hookshot, and a horse. Its got elements from other games yes but it uses them and makes them its own all in all a very good buy for me i loved every second of it.

I just meant that the battle system, the button layout and combo systems are somewhat like GoW, but much more refined. In GoW you are VERY limited in terms of combos, in this game you can chain everything you want.
