Thank you to everyone who ever worked on the shuttle. Thank you to the Astronauts who flew these amazing vehicles. Thank you to the Challenger & Columbia crews who sacrificed their lives for the program. Thank you for 30 years of exploration & God Bless the USA!
God bless the orbiter fleet and the brave astronauts who reached for the stars in the name of science, exploration, and America! I will never, ever forget! :')
hey don't blame obama for killing the shuttle it was actually Bush in 04 who killed it. But Obama has don a pretty bad job with space like with everything else he has done
@indydude454 nobody killed it, they decided to end it after the Columbia disaster because it served its purpose of building the space station. the only fault was having nothing to replace it.
finally... now can we get back to real space exploration instead of being stuck in LEO with a 1,5 billion dollar ticket price for something that should cost a tenth of the price
This brought tears to my eyes all over again. So beautiful and inspiring. "...What a great nation can do when it dares to be bold and commits to follow through." Let's try to get back to that, America.
I do hope there'll be a Blu-ray compiling the history of the Shuttle, with lots of views of launches and stuff like that, for us folks who are going to miss this.
I won't forget every man and woman who did traveled with your shuttle.
I was born in 1981, and despite some controversies about some subjects ( you know which ones =) I can't do otherwise than salute all teams members, crews and every people who did do something at NASA. I'm lioving in such an era, all my life I've seen this shuttle, and it was the best event man could have do on Earth. Now I'm starting to cry =) Merci beaucoup.
im 27 and im only starting to think way more about space. and this has only came about because of an end of the space shuttle program. i never really bothered about it much ....but on the news ther was so much about it ending. and i cant explain why i have this new found love for space exploration. im spend around 2 to 3 hours a day now on the nasa website. just finding out about stuff i never gave a second look before. when the last atlantis had its rockets ignited
Went to see that launch, most incredible experience of my life. Long live space exploration!!!

@RhyeguyGilmer thats true but bush did say in his vision for space exploration that one of the goals was to retire the space shuttle by 2011
