nice battle but my question is this....were you in Elude? Cause i've soloed AVs too and tier 9s are a mandatory. I know that SR has the highest defense out of any set but against AVs is another thing....
Hey there Interceptor. To answer the question: No, I don't have Elude at all. I use Invention enhancements to boost my defenses high enough that Elude doesn't matter during an AV fight.
Thanks! Kat/SR is very sturdy, and very few Scrapper sets can out-damage it when you have a lot of recharge. Only Fire (and in extreme cases Dual Blades) can top it's damage per second.
Hmm.. I was under the impression that BS/WP, with proper global +Recharge, was capable of surpassing Kat/ DPS over extended periods of time, as well as initial burst. Suppose the difference in activation times might account for any time that Kat/ pulls ahead.
That's exactly right, Thant0s, it's the activation times that cause Broadsword to fall behind in DPS. If you're interested in seeing, a few players on the official City of Heroes forums crunched the numbers for the highest damage chains and just how much recharge it takes to reach them.
