He didn't sell out to Ford. He got offered to fulfill a dream that pretty much any pro driver would take but Subaru hasn't officially sponsored a WRC driver in years. So he had to find someone who wanted to provide him with a car. And Ford has been very successful in the WRC lately....but I am a huge Subie fan so I don't like it, but you can't blame him.

Why do people hate on Ken Block so much. Lots of jealous babies I guess. I wont deny that his acceptance into the WRC is as much for marketing purposes as talent and experience. But what do you want for him to do, say no?

5th place in any WRC event with a new car in his first year after making an enormous jump in competition isn't all that bad. Kimi Raikkonen struggled a lot too, and he is a stud F1 driver.

Basically, the dude worked hard to put his name out there and got rewarded.
