  • i have the iPad 2 32GB - WiFi Only THUMPS UP :D

  • a kindle rooted and a custom rom runs great !

and not as slow as some people say.though i kinda wish it had a mic and bluetooth.

i also got a 50 dollar instant rebate (gift card) from walmart at the time of purchase.

it was worth every penny !

  • wow the kindle is kinda small didn't realize until I saw it next to the ipad

  • is it a good sub for ipod touch?lol.my ipod is dying.

  • people say that ipad and iphone owners are fan boys and always bitch about ios and apple. but it really makes you guys anti apple fanboys. which being "anti" something this meaningless pathetic

  • i like it

  • Gay lord iphonefan

  • I like the comparison features you shared. I do have a question. Does the Amazon kindle have adequate word processing capabilities, if so what software does it use for that, and what about voice activated abilities with that? Thanks!

  • Fire is clunky and studdery. Junk.

  • HTC Flyer wifi only version 299 every day. It's way better then the Fire.

  • Comparing a Kindle with an iPad and/or Galaxy is like comparing a Casio Digital Watch with a Blackberry... or an iPad to the Asus EP121. Hahaha.

  • Super pathetic video waooo who is this guy he is with pockenow jajajajajaja OMG

  • pathetic video...!

  • this guy is a shill for Amazon if there ever was one...or, this is just a cleverly disguised advertisement for the kindle, gimme a break

  • comparing apples to oranges.

  • @skyvilla apples to lemons lol

  • y'all always have good content....but y'all need to change the intro/logo. It makes pocketnow seem like a cheap fake foreign show and it is anything but.

  • Motorola xoom 2 not test why?

  • @avielikiy no has

  • @pocketnowvideo What are the major limitations and differences between the I-pad 2 and other android tablets and also is there going to be an I-pad 3 any-time soon?

  • @OperationFoxley19441 iPad 2 is simpler, much smoother, and faster. Android tablets do not have the app support yet which will be aided largely by ics being on phones and tablets this year, but as of now the tablets are slower and not nearly as smooth. iPad has a lot of limitations that make it very far away from a computer, but android tablets do not yet have the support that will make them intuitive for all of the extra stuff that android is able to do. In terms of experience imo iPad 2 wins.

  • @OperationFoxley19441 To add a bit, this year could change a lot. If google releases a nexus tablet and apps are better supported for larger screens then the game could change very fast. Apple has yet to change its os since 5 years ago and is a little aged compared to ics on android. In terms of new hardware you should see android tablets beating out the iPad 3 if the phone market is any indication, but it is impossible to tell at this moment.

  • Whoah @ the lag the kindle has :((

  • You are lucky to have so many tablets! I only want the gallaxy tap!

  • theres no such things as tablets. theres only A TABLET. and we all know what tablet that is...

  • @effahthebest

    No what is it?

  • Hahahaha I got a Blackberry Playbook which whoops the Fire's ass, but then I got an iPad 2 for Christmas.

  • dicky adams :)):)):)) loooool

  • I think Apple pulled fast one by not supporting flash, as it meant they could make a smoother and faster running browser then sell the Apple devices based on this. Not mentioning to the public the lack of flash support.

  • No ecosystems for the 2 other android tablets? Do you know what the android market is? Not sure what you're talking about.

  • ipad is a 9.7in screen not 10.1, im sorry man but you seem a little biased ... idk maybe its just me

  • htc, samsung.... what about Asus' Transformer Prime wirh quad core?

  • HTC tablets = overpriced and laggy.

IMO only samsung is the leader for android tablets

  • @FATExiFATE well asus as well is making some pretty BA tabs too

  • @ChristianMusician777 Oops my bad i forgotten about the quad-core tablet they released

  • so you've discounted the two android tablets because the don't have an eco system for apps, books, movies and music. Have you seen the Android market recently? Have you thought about doing reviews for the gadget show? There're very impartial too.

  • @bigjohnfamagoosta It's getting there - but it doesn't have the force behind it like Amazon and Apple - yet.

  • HTC Flyer

  • Should i buy the iPad 2 now or wait for the iPad 3 ???

  • @Rimoz95 as a person who isnt an apple fan at all, it depends what you want if you CAN wait then wait the 3 or 4 months itll be until it comes out, but if you dont want to wait and the ipad 2 does what you want then get it, simple as that.

  • @Rimoz95 i think you should just buy it cause well why wait for the ipad 3 when the iPad 4 would come about 7 months after u get it. might as well get the ipad 2 while its still hot.

  • The galaxy tablet looks like a dinosaur next to the kindle.

  • iStuff is like a Ford superduty if you turn up the boost its going to blow up where the android phones are like Cummins turbo diesel they hold hidden power. iClones waaaa

  • Well I would still argue that the scrolling on Android Tablets are garbage, regardless of whether flash is on or not. Especially on Tegra 2 tablets, since they can't seem to handle scrolling in portrait mode for some retarded reason. Probably has to do with the fact that Honeycomb is Shenzhen software.

  • Wow kindle fire sucks

  • ipad is the best the problem is it doesnt have fucking flash...and the user interface is boring as hell but im good with my galaxy tab 10.1 and motorola xoom:-)

  • @jayr122001 skyfire on the ipad works ok if you want some flash to work. but i agree with you on the boring part even if i returned my galaxy tab and bought a ipad

  • Samsung galaxy tab 7.7

  • iPad's are great for douchbags to stuff in their vagina's.

  • @bnjmncrozat see the earlier response about scrolling

  • @pocketnowvideo Sorry but even without Flash those things are laggy (but disable it for next reviews :)). How people can use them? How can you like to browse the web? Anyway, it's too easy to bring shit in people's hands today.

    (sorry for my bad English)

  • @bnjmncrozat android is better than shitty apple

  • @shubhamsetia100 Android is and OS and Apple is a company.. Y U NO MAKE ANY SENSE?

  • @bnjmncrozat its not all andorid tablets. it's because the kindle is new and the cloud services aren't at their prime speeds yet. when more users use them it will be faster

  • @bnjmncrozat gaylord, apple fanboy

  • i think he likes the kindle fire...

  • Oped blows

  • I found this video very informative. I am debating which tablet I want. At this time, Im willing to eat ramen a few weeks to save for an iPad 2, because for reading I would prefer the Fire, but I love Netflix, and Angry Birds, and the bigger screen on the iPad is just incredible. I used to expect that my entire book collection would end up on my iPhone or an iPad 2, but its an expensive task to build a library, when you have as many books as I do regardless of which device I buy.

  • How about a 7 inch ipod touch.

  • I see a lot of lag on the kindle fire :(

  • @TRonlyOne See my comment to @alwinwinjoe

  • At the begging wtf were you looking at

  • @collin30000 The 60D has an articulated screen so I can see that I'm positioned correctly for the video. Sometimes the pretty lights distract me. ;D

  • This was not a comparison of technology it was a comparison of size. How about comparing it to other mainstream e-readers.

  • Compare to nook tablet

  • Screw those tablets i got a BB playbook for $200 >:D

  • @ItsRobbyHoe bb playbook is nice but it doesn't have the apps that i need like handwriting.

  • @saquibs20 You'd be surprised theres alot of more apps now than when people reviewed it in February research in motion will be adding android support

  • "It just works" lol

  • The only reason I wouldn't buy the Kindle Fire cause it doesn't have front facing camera.

  • @lrobles787 there are far more reasons other than a front facing camera/

  • I wish the Galaxy tablets were the same price as the Kindle Fire.

  • @Drrck11 You hit the nail on the head as to why good Android tablets are not selling. Android fangirls won't pay much more than $199 for anything because most are middle school kids and have no money. They can say what they "want in a tablet" but when the time comes to spend money, they're off bashing Apple somewhere.

  • This reviewer sucks! I can rebiew far better than this one.

  • @26prahlad yes no one can rebiew better than you. you are the best rebiewer in the world

  • Why are you comparing an EReader to an Ipad?

  • The reviewer says it all.......

  • Any reason your Flyer isn't on Honeycomb?

  • @jameslove888 Not sure. I've been trying to let it auto-update rather than forcing it (as it is a review unit), but thus far, the OTA hasn't arrived for this unit.

  • @pocketnowvideo Fair enough, was just curious why it was still on Gingerbread :)

  • @jameslove888 because android just sucks in giving software update support to all android devices.

  • @daasguy99 That's not an Android flaw, it's in the contract Microsoft is trying to force OEM's to sign blocking Android updates.

  • @akirafactor Well what ever it is if android wants its OS to capitalize market it needs to support devices for at-least 2 years.Consumers prospective, you get a contract for 2 years and your stuck it old OS. Internationally where most phones are sold unlocked, only few buyers eva go 4 sets costing them $600, their expecting them to change phones every year? SERIOUSLY!! Even if Cellphones sale for android are more then iphone they are less in terms of a single entity profitability.

  • @daasguy99 Good one...

  • I believe the iPad 2 has a 9.7 inch screen, i love my ipad 2 :-}

  • "Still not any comparison to the iPad 2 (but why would you)" That's exactly right. It's a ridiculous comparison. Different consumption device. Different audience, demographic. Etc, etc. Makes sense to compare it to the HTC 7" and for any other 7" tablet. Sillty to compare it to any 10" Android tablet and effin ridiculous to compare it to an entirely different ecosystem like Apple's. No pun intended, Apples to Oranges.

  • @pigs3littleones Agreed. But there would have been complaints if we hadn't put them on the screen.

  • I'd love to see the kindle fire up against the nook tablet.

  • @thnikker We would too! But thus far, we haven't been able to obtain a review unit of the newest Nook line. In comparison with the original Nook Tablet, the Kindle Fire wins.

  • I believe the iPad 2 has a 9.7 inch screen

  • @TheAlpineBanger True. But I still consider it a 10" device.

  • I have a solution for unintentional interactions; use your left hand.

  • So that's smooth scrolling on a Kindle Fire?

  • @alwinwinjoe The Silk browser automatically loads Flash content. If you do the same on other devices, similar stutter occurs. Using an alternative browser such as Dolphin HD, it performs much more fluidly. The smooth scrolling that was fixed in the latest update had more to do with the main interface than the browser.

  • 4uth

  • u should compare them after installing a custom rom on the kindle fire :)

  • Wearing a hat inside is considered impolite.

  • Fiiiiiirst
