the game gets boring rather quickly. All the 4 stages are over simplified. The space stage which is the last one gets tiring after a while because you have absolutely no help to conquer anything. The entire empire depends on one ship while all the other's have multiple ship fleets and they invade your planets. The ideas were great but the game seems to have rushed out and they didnt really game test. It's annoying because the ideas are there they just need to use their heads and make this funner

Usually Space is good. But often, my planets get invaders. Usually more than 1 planet gets an invader. It's so annoying!

The defult planets which are NPC planets and they are always there. It is programed in the software to destroy any AI created planets. You only get 6 planets to start with in the game. That is it. No more no less.

depends if your city is a military and you go into the city planner option to put turrents on your towns. And add tanks to defend near your towns. Just like in C&C command and conquer!

It's a good game, but the space stage is irritating as you have to go back to defend your planets every minute or two. This is such a shame considering how long you could spend soaking up the galaxy's atmosphere, instead you have to spend all your time zooming in and out of your planets to fight against the over populated galaxy... :( Anyone know if the galactic adventures addresses this?

@Nacnueed i don't find myself going back and defending my planet all the time but GA does a lot that the first game didn't and makes the space stage muc more enjoyable.

@Nacnueed Actually I have learned that you can simply ignore your allies demand, it wont affect your relationship what so ever. I find I only get an attack on my home planet ever hour or two. I figured this out by just getting sick of fighting ships that I had no reasons fighting.

@Nacnueed Just get some uber turrets. They deal with..pretty much all attacks. As for ecodisasters, they don't happen very often either way. Plus, it shouldn't be too big an issue unless your empire, for some unimaginable reason, spreads across multiple arms of the galaxy. I've got myself a sizable empire of 30+ systems with 12 alliances. I'm doing quite fine, even for an aggressive empire.

@Nacnueed u can put uber turrets on ur planets, they fight off enemies 4 u and are quite powerful ;-] they have forcefields around them aswell!!!!

@Nacnueed Here is how you solve that problem. 1. Play as a scientist or zealot (They have WMD powers which can wipe out a planet). 2. Put Uber Turrets on all of your planets. They have a lot of firepower and are indestructible.

@snoffe1234 you can if they have made a planet on your computer. Also you can only do the same things you can do to the NPC planets, except destroying them

just wondering, is there a kind of sandbox mode, where you can just create a creature straight off and play the game? or do you have to go through all the stages each time?

when you first install the game you have to start in the cell stage but after you enter another stage by playing thru the game you have unlocked that new stage and are able to start a new game right from that stage

it is recommended that you play from the beginning tho because each stage that you do play thru allows certain abilities in the later stages depending on how u played the previous stages

go for it. it's a great game. definately better than sims in my opinion. i wasn't very big on the sims. if i wanna play at real life i'll jus live my own. games are supposed to be an escape from the real world.
