I'm afraid there is indeed a separate United States these days. One has elected a president who has blatantly stated that he wanted to "Fundamentally Transform the United States of America" . Then, there is the true America that was founded by people who would have been appalled at the idea of a president who would advocate bribes and threats to pass bills against the will of the majority of the people in order to transform this country into something it was never intended to be.
