  • So Jacqueline was married to Jason Geoberti, Chase's father, and Angela's Brother. Angela was married to a man named Channing who had an illegitimate son with Jacqueline named Richard Channing..that quite a triangle!

  • LANA WAS BEAUTIFUL......MY GOODNESS SHE WS STUNNING WAS SHE ABT IN HER 60'S

  • That's one really tiny tiny glass Jacqueline/Lana is holding at the beginning.

  • without Jane Wyman , Falcon Crest would be nothing !

  • Wow. Both of them here. Wyman is really above board. The other actors, good themselves, must have been in awe.

  • It's season 1. EP #012.

  • is this season 2?

  • jane wyman sounds the same!

  • It's no secret that I want to "replant" your "acreage". If you know what I mean!

  • Well, Lana Turner looks about as good as a corpse can look, here.

  • Lana gets my nomination for the Order of the Silver Beaver.....

  • It would have been great to have had a scene in which Angela, Jason, Douglas, & Jacqueline were all in it together. This show REALLY needed a prequel featuring younger versions of these characters when the show was on the air (IE DALLAS' "Early Years").

  • Both of these classic ladies ROCKED in their scenes! Sadly, Jacqueline (LT) was only on the show recurring from Seasons 01 & 02. I SO wish that she would have stayed on the show longer. What makes these scenes even better is that these two ladies REALLY DID hate each other in real-life!

  • @bluenail03

Just like those two characters in the show.

  • Wow talk about two huge movie legends, Jane Wyman & Lana Turner. Talk about huge star power.

  • @rickram1961 The kind of star power you may never see again.

  • Jane Wyman was such a great actress - this is a great scene.

  • lana ,,,shes fantastic!!!

  • I wish we had great shows and actors like these ladies today.

  • Jacqueline says I don't want my son to die of some accident. Chase died

    accidently of drowning.

  • Great scene!!!

  • I love the music cue at 0:51...lol...it really punctuates Angela's power over everyone she dominated!

  • I love the music at 0:53.

  • love the music at 0:58...so funny and punctuates Angela's power.

  • @Tenor5274 ...sorry I meant to say I like the music at 0:55....:)

  • Women are still the Same.... TODAY!

  • When people keep telling Angela they don't like her it's not believable. Jane Wyman was very likable and wasn't bitchy enough to play this role. Real-life bitches like Lucille Ball or Bette Davis would have been better.

  • @jollycorner1 I agree with you...Bette Davis would have been perfect to play Angela Channing! She needed that bitch virtuoisity and she definitely had that.

  • @jollycorner1 You must be kidding. Jane Wyman was fantastic in this role and the show's success was due to this great actress. Falcon Crest suffered and became boring when Jane fell ill .

  • @PJCoan - Jane Wyman was petite, too, only 5'3".

  • Lana Turner and Jane Wyman, two great stars!

  • Always LANA

  • so real its ilke an off screan fight

  • These were two tough old broads with very different images, but the fact that they had both been around since the 1930's when this show aired says a lot about their talent and tenacity...

  • Lana Turner was the "Queen Bee" for Mother-Child Type Movies, Peyton Place, Imitation Of Life, Madame X. She was really good as a archrival for Jane Wyman. Another thing I admired her for was that she accepted her Daughter Cheryl being a Lesbian way before there were organizations like PFLAG and Magazines like OUT & The Advocate coming into the mainstream.

  • Miss Wyman was a big talent in her own right and television resurrected her career. In real life, she was a driven professional much like her Angela Channing persona. She remained "distant" from her children and grandchildren long after Miss Turner had built a relationship with her daughter.

  • As for Lana's acting ability, she proved her talent in many films, especially after leaving MGM and the poor roles in which she was cast. Whatever your opinion of her acting talent, you cannot deny that when watching her Falcon Crest clips, she commands all of the attention by her mere presence.

  • It isn't hard to figure out why Jane Wyman didn't want Lana Turner around on her show. It was documented that every time Miss Turner appeared on Falcon Crest, the ratings jumped. She got a lot of press for the show, and was very gracious about Miss Wyman in interviews of the time. Conversely, JW refused to speak of LT in interviews. It must have been painful for Miss Wyman, in her bad wig and tough looks, to act opposite Miss Turner, who at 61 was still a head-turner.

  • jane wyman was always ugly even when she was young - but she was a good actress - lana turner was always a glamour-girl...there is no need to search further...in reality all the talented men and women also long to be beautiful...its one or the other in life, few people have both, most of the people have nothing !

  • Susan Sullivan had both. She's exactly 40 years older than me but I'd bone her in a heartbeat.

  • @oentschi - Not ugly, she just played unglamorous roles with little or no makeup. Scrape all the makeup off of Lana Turner's face and see what she looks like. She may have been a little envious of Lana's looks but she was far superior in talent.

  • This was one of my late maternal grand mama's favorite series from 1980's..Miss wyman was a good actress,,,I recall the film she did with Marlene Dietriche'...Miss Turner whata power house..from the MGM stable..Its so sad of the tragic scandal that haunted her family.....

  • Lana was a star, Wyman an actress.

  • Absolutely couldn't agree more. Turner was fun in Peyton Place and Imitation Of Life but she never had any real presence. Wyman was a hard-working actress who gave all the other night-time villains (Abby, Alexis & JR) a damn good run for their money. Her eyes sparkled and she always looked she was having the time of her life playing Angela. I always wished they'd found a way to bring all 4 villains together into some kind of mini-series.

  • @marekerhardt - Oh please--Wyman was a star, too. She admitted she couldn't act--she just knew gimmicks.

  • The battle of the bitches. Throw in a lily pond and you got Krystle and Alexis. Lana really belonged on Dynasty.

  • I agree -- Lana Turner was a great beauty, a great star, and a dreadful actress.

  • I love Lana! I fell in love with her after watching "Imitation of Life". She was so fierce in that movie... I also love how her hair is ALWAYS together.

  • poor cow x

  • Lana Turner was a class act and a great addition to this show. Thanks for posting this! Great memories.

  • Lana was 63 yrs old and still a beauty. Lana had her own acting style and she wasn't the best actress to ever come out of the Golden era of Hollywood but she was one the the Silver Screen's raving beauty. Janw Wyman was a very attractive woman and one of the best actresses in History. Judy Garland was envious of Lana's look but Judy had a unique look and very attractive and the best female singer and entertainer the world has ever seen. She never realized her fame would outlast LT's.

  • Dreadful you say? Lana was beautiful, talented, and RICH as fuck. What fast food restaurant are you proudly slinging burger's at for minimum wage loser.?

  • I used to work in a fast-food restaurant actually, how did you know? It was a little like that one Lana desperately tried to make us believe she worked in in THE POSTMAN ALWAYS RINGS TWICE...

By the way, did you know she was only 2 feet tall and her wardrobe was often made out of napkins?

  • @ahrensgay WELL said, she was great in The Bad and the Beautiful and Imitation of Life. Judging by this clip, she got better as the years went by...

  • is that Lana Turner?

  • Great Scene!!
