The very first song reminds me of paradise where there is no killing, rape, stealing, of any of the negativity that we as humans are unfortunately used to. I picture waking up ohh one fine morning and seeing my family by the water having fun.... so FREE!! It's a very sad thing that for now we can only visit that place in our dreams. But not yet. the last song, solomon vandy, is truly touching ... at the end of the movie, before solomon makes his speech, this song is playing .. i wept uncontrollably partly because of it .. now having this song, gives me those same chills .. and although this may sound slightly overstated, i honestly feel empowered after listening to it, almost as though the struggles of the exploited african people in the movie is amplified thru the childrens voices in the song and channeled into my soul
