So I followed all the instructions on this video to the tee, and got New Vegas running on my "Early 2011 13'' MacBook Pro". I started it up, and it showed all the correct menus and everything, then I shut it down. I came back later and tried to start it, and it wouldn't start up again. It was really weird! Has anyone else had this happen to them and, if so, care to share how they fixed it?

I have an iMac 27" with 8 GB of RAM and a really good processor (not looking at it now) I've followed the steps in this video and I've followed the steps on the porting teams website. But whenever my character goes to sit up in Doc's bed the game freezes. It freezes my whole comp to the point where I have to turn it off, can anyone help me out?

Hey man, I have a problem, was wondering if you could help. I did everything, simple, just as you instructed, but then when I ran the game, it brought up the graphics and display settings.

Okay, it recommended Low settings for me, I have a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT, which I believe just came with my computer.

So INSTEAD, I got all brave and shit, and set it to medium settings. The game crashed, and now I can no longer open it. Ever. Again.

Oh, and is there any way to get settings to stick? My mods don't work because when I check off the .esms in the game launcher, it just unchecks itself automatically open pressing "ok". Settings can't be set out of-game, and the mods won't work.

Lsn ,, Just download The latest Skidrow update and replace the folders with the folders inside the wrapper ... i downloaded the skidrow update 4 .. and works great expect it sometimes gets a bit laggy.....

Guys, you have to download a wrapper that according to your graphic card. The one showed in the video is fir ATi graphic card. For Nvidia user, choose the last one, on the forum. Hope this helps.

This is quite possibly the least stable port i have ever played :') i have to save before i enter in any house cause theres a fifty fifty chance it will make the game crash, i cant talk to anyone for the same reason, im stuck cause theres this ranger who talks to me automatically and it freezes the game. Got it to work. Search in the Google for SKIDROW update 3. Download, Extract RAR, and install just like when you install the game through WineSkin and copy over updated .exes. Should work. Did for me.

@jekiwi my fallout eventually permanently crashed after completing Come Fly With Me, is there a way I can fix this? I also cant seem to find my save folder, I think it was deleted when it crashed.

@WorldWarIIFrEaK i highly recommend you reinstall it, bear with the crashes that do happen, and never do the Come Fly With Me mission. that one is notorious for killing the game, on consoles and on PCs. you won't be able to fix it unless if SKIDROW comes up with a patch for it later on, after Bethesda works out a patch for it themselves. the CFWM glitch kills the game and the corrupts save files. so, just reinstall and bear with it.

@WorldWarIIFrEaK also, i don't know how far you'll get in the game, glitches and all, since this is ported to Mac and it's unofficial and it'll be awhile before someone like SKIDROW gets all the kinks worked out.

@Morristech1125 There's a file in the update folder called "sr-fnvu3.rar." Extract it, and the result should be the two new .exe files (newvegas and newvegaslauncher). Replace the old ones in the program files with these ones. Try and see if it works.

@salmonman14 you need to quit the game using command Q and then restart your mac. then right click on the app to show package contents and open the launcher app. when it opens, click on options and change the type of quality you are currently on (low, medium, high and ultra) and then open the game and you should be able to go to the outer wasteland of the game :)
