  • so an egg is released every month and then if there is no sperm to fertilize it then it breaks and that's ur period. right?? wait so if a egg is released every month so I don't think girls had se.... u know so the first egg should break?? idk well plz explain!! thnks!

  • @anum991 no one can see the egg, it is so tiny as a pin head, and it goes out with the blood flow every month. The bleed comes from the uterus lining, where it thicken with blood to receive the fertilized egg, if not the lining break and the blood flow.

  • First, LOL!

  • fuck you :D I don't want that my state examination depends on this :DD rather I'll search something more intelligent :D

  • What I don't understand is, the obvious question; If you have intercourse on lets say any time after day 24 & before day 5 how is it o=possible that she still runs the risk of getting pregnant, giving the fact that sperm cells can live for only up to 2/3 days, & egg cells less. Taking this in to acconut and the fact that the egg mightn't be released exactly on day 14, thae this leaves a huge time interval during which the woman shouldn't get pregnant?

  • Actually sperm can live up to 7 days, and it depends on the womans cycle. Some women ovulate a very short time after the period ends. There's always going to be a time where it's impossible to get pregnant, but depending on the woman, and the viability of the sperm, that's why there is still is a RISK.

  • I find it hard to believe about the "7 days"! Can you prove it? What I often hear in textbooks, the internet, etc, is 48 hours.

If the couple knew that she ovulated a very short time after periods or not, then it shouldn't be a problem, because they could account for it. It shouldn't be a problem, if it varies from woman to woman; but if it varies from cycle to cycl, then it would be.

  • No I'm not a scientist I can't prove it, but scientists have shown that sperm can live UP TO 7 days. It's not a determined, final, exact, specific number. It depends on the man, and his sperm. It's not really that complicated to understand. And not everyone knows when they ovulate, you have to figure it out. You have to LEARN these things. You're ovulation can't vary from cycle to cycle, only your cycles can vary. Your luteal phase doesn't change.

  • May I ask what "luteal phase" is?

  • Of course male contraception is probably the best choice. But for those taking risk, it can be minimized. The first week after her period is the safest time without protection...but you better use protection the 7 days prior to her period (use protection).

Remember that nature (reproduction) is not an exact science; there are things we don't understand and her menstrual cycle can change with the seasons, or her mood, or physical excercise.

  • imba 1 second video
