efren is only a poor boy in the philippines before he discovered.. He didnt finish high school and went into billiards. He also sleeps in the pool table that he used to work. I would like to congratulate InsidePool Magazine for their fine work commenting on and presenting the sport of Billiards to the world at large.I think this site is a great opportunity for people to see and hear the actual players and a chance for fans and fellow players to become more aware of some of the legends of this game as well as current top performers.

p.s I wish Vanessa or whomever the reporter may be would finish the segment by citing the Guest's name as opposed to their own, or as well as their own if they have to say it twice. Some poolplayers may be averse to giving interviews in general and would probably be more relaxed if they felt a connection to the interviewer. It's not unreasonable that a reporter for a Billiards magazine should also be a fan if not also a player, yet someone that enjoys and appreciates the game and its players.

I agree 100%. Efren is just being honest. I love to watch Efren in his interviews. This is no way a disrespect but Efren does not have a good command of English so whenever he is asked a question that is sort of complicated he ends up answering something totally different. Reminds me of my grandfather who spoke in broken English. If I could hang out with 1 person for a whole day, it would be Efren. I would take him to a pool hall and buy him some drinks and just listen to his stories.

@uberathlete yeah not many people can get away with something said like that. But when you have a good heart you can even curse at people and they don't mind , My mom calls the group home girls little bitches all the time but they never get mad because #1 they know they are lol and #2 they know my mom cares.
