Love Paul but, as the richest musician in history, reading something like this makes me feel a little less warmnfuzzy aboot him.....
Money money money money..... That's what I want.....
"I'll probably be kicking myself myself for a long time for missing Paul McCartney's first show in Nashville last night. Of course, $250 is a lot to spend on concert tickets when the kids need to eat and grad school is looming. "
I missed his show in Toronto because even the nosebleed tickets were 200+ and none of my friends wanted to pay it. Regardless of the high prices he still manages to sell out every night, so I'd be doin the same. Hopefully he gives back some of that money when he dies lol
alot of Beatles songs were credited lennon/McCartney, while really only 1 or the other wrote them. it was just so they didn't get jealous of eachother
Actually they didn't write too many in total isolation to completion till the white album, for the largest part.
I wrote the riffs, lyrics, bass, did all the vocals, yet credited the drummer as "co" because when working things out, things might get shifted, moved, altered, etc.
So since it's pretty tuff to quantify how much of "better" each person kicked into the final song, and there were 2 of us in the process, you split credit.....
He's not dead. Heather probably trumped up her charges against him, but I doubt he's completely innocent either. He was rude to Yoko, but they patched it up. If it's okay for Sir Paul to own more of other peoples' songs than anyone, it's okay for Michael to own the Beatles songs. Not all his songs are "creampuff," and not all of John's are "deep." It sucks he had to pay child support on someone who wasn't his kid.
deepvoodoo: You missed one. Paul McCartney wrote "Yesterday" completely on his own, but it is listed as a "Lennon and McCartney" song. He has asked Ono for the rights, or at least top billing for the song, and she won't allow it.
Lennon had nothing to do with the song, but Ono gets royalties every year.
True, but that's business as usual. There are tons of songs Paul wrote alone, tons John wrote alone. The only real "controversy" is "Eleanor Rigby," which John did claim to have written a lot of and most others say Paul basically wrote it alone with a few friends suggesting he change this word/that word (Ringo suggested Father McKenzie according to one source). John wrote "Give Peace A Chance" by himself, but it's sometimes credited to both (though it's a solo record) for 1 reason or another.
No, there was a woman who named him as the father of her son way back in the early sixties when they were playing in Hamburg. In 1984, he took a DNA test proving that the boy wasn't his son.
Is the Guitarist with black hair John Squire from Stone Roses. I know that he has officially retired but I am 99% sure that that is him. I know that he is a big Beatles fan, and retired or not, would not turn down Paul McCartney. I hope it is him, because whoever that guitarist is, he is brilliant.
P.S I really hope that Ian Brown and John Squire make up and reform the Stone Roses, the only band to get anywhere near the Beatles.
Thanks for posting this. This concert was absolute great. I love the Beatles and Wings sound. Paul is still the Best. Greatings from Germany, and Paul, go on with this very good band!
those russian broads are hot...cant trust them..but then again u cant trust most women...bet the band balled a few of them commie chicks in kiev...paul too...why not...better then marrying them and given your money away for some pussy that gets stale after a few years anyways...
Yes indeed, roll it to me Paul. Come on over to the Philly area or something cos I'll roll right on to that show, LOL. Saw him a few years back, The Driving Rain tour I believe it was called. He looked fabulous then too. Poor guy, I was staring at his legs pratically the whole show, the little perv I am for Paul, teehee :)
I love a man confident enough to wear pink.
