One moment he says his mother is a survivor who is still alive, the next he says she "went straight to the gas chamber." No, I don't think it was obvious that he meant she was sent to "the gas chamber part of Auschwitz." I'm still not clear what he meant.

He said something confusing; you accuse me of "denying testimonies" or even being disappointed his mother survived. There's no call for that.
