@lindalouh the trick to working with rice cereal treats to to compress them once they've set. it cuts the gaps between them and allows you to get a smooth finish. you can also add a layer of buttercream to fill in those gaps. also you may want to try rolling your fondant a little thicker than normal or put two layers of fondant. hope that helps!
