  • the best snare sound I have heard in a long time..... what is the cost on this snare?

  • @dogdrums

Thanks. They are priced comparably with Brady/Craviotto/Joyful Noise. Typically $900 & up.

  • the best snare sound I have heard in a long time.....

  • how much?

  • what a sound!! what kind of tuning to get this kind of sound?! man, please teach me how to tune like that! coz i have a pearl free floating 14x5 maple snare. but this snare is super awesome!! any help fellow drummers? thanks. c",)

  • Un freakin' believable..what a balance of wet punch and sweetest long note resonance I have ever heard..including Bradys etc!!! Awesome and I own 7 snares.

  • @davonwav

Thanks for the complement! Very cool to be mentioned along with Brady!

  • Totally amazing - well done. Rich feel free to check out some of my videos of that kit I sent you the photo of. Your OCD drums are extremely impressive, very innovative idea and beautiful result.

  • @indianchief73 Thanks man. I appreciate that. I will check out your vids,

  • does it have a vent hole if non why?

  • Yes, there is a vent hole in the center ring.

  • why dont many drum companies make free floating drum kits

  • @lengman2112 because of all the extra work and parts that go into making an entire kit with free floating shells. if you want a kit that's entirely free floating check out sleishman drums at sleishman . com

  • how much money would a snare exactly like that one cost?

  • That model is around $750

  • then just get a pearl ff snare. allot cheaper

  • can you get a free floating snare with just one shell instead of two seperate

  • Not with this design. We can do top and bottom with same shell material but will be 2 shells.

  • Why is that? it seems like you should be able to in theory.

  • How thick is that one shown?

  • 10-ply maple shells, top and bottom. They are 0.26 inch (6.7 mm) thick. The center ring is about 30 plies.

  • is the feature of the hoop and the replaceable shell what you mean by free floating?

  • Basically yes. The hoop enables the shells to be free of any hardware whatsoever, so the shells are "free floating."

  • ah sick thanks man. they sound great btw.

  • Thanks!

  • nice ring tone :)

  • can you get these in brass?

  • Yes, you can get them in just about any material you want.

  • those snares have such a cool original design. I want one so bad!!!!!
