I love how civic owners are mad at kias for being faster than their car. I own a kia, and its slow as fuck. Do you know how much faster it is than civics are? It gives honda such a bad name. @italianboi1390 not everyone uses ebay. and an intake, header, exhaust can make alot of power on some motors, like the RSX-S and 06+ civic Si. you can actually gain about 40-50whp.
dont tell me that sounds rediculous. they dyno about 180 to the wheels, and after those mods, and with it tuned, they easily see 220whp. some 230whp with a 3inch exhaust, and race header. some still gain pretty good number without the tune.

Those motors are N/A, And from factory there basically tuned at there highest peak of HP. If they had some type of FI in there i can see that but no way 220whp.
@blackfalken222 then you know nothing about the capabilities of the better improved honda motors (k-series). they have a better flowing head. stock, they dyno around 180 to the wheels. an intake, a nice header (SSR, RCREW etc.) and a 3 inch exhaust can see between 220-230whp. k20's make much better gains from bolt-ons than the overrated h22, and the B-series. so from 180-220whp....equals 40whp gains. its a fact. its even in my K-series book with dynos to prove it. go on k20a.org also.

actually cvvt is continuously variable valve timing. It's not even close to vtec, sorry. Vtec advances timing and uses a high profile cam lobe to create lift when it enters the crossover. CVVT only advances timing, although it is slightly better than something like my '05 corolla which only has VVT-i (it's not continuously variable). So no, the Kia's valve timing is not better.
Those optimas also have 2.4 litres in them and from my experience run just as good as the 2.7 this vid sounds like the 2.4 though (same as my own but mine is a 5spd manual)
Thats also a stock KIA Optima V6 compared to an obviously heavily modified Honda Civic...btw that KIA has better reliability ratings then a Accord..Spivics are strupid dude..
also in the first race, the civic hit vtec then held, second race the civic is a beast at 45 (its where my si is right at vtec) thats why it pulled. Good races though

ok, lets break it down now. kia 175hp is to the flywheel, so is the honda 170hp, stock honda dyno at 144whp. let just say kia did 155whp, to build a engine to produce double the hp naturally are very hard to do, and cost a lot of money. 300whp? u talking about at least 12:1 even 14:1 compresson, also big cams, forged internal becuz the amount of detonation u will have, u will have to run race gas. so force induction will be a better answer. still u would have to build it

umm i disagree, i drive 04 sonata v6 and i raced, was it 07 or 08 civic si (from what i could see it had greddy dt exhaust (uggly one inmy opinion lol) and i think it was lowered), and we raced couple of times on long street with no intersections, just lights, we both launched couple of times and i lost civic for like 7 seconds, then it pulls up and pass me...
because the tire is scrapping the fenders lol. maybe the rims is too big 16 inch or somthing he should of bought 15 inch and slap on 195/50 lol instead of 205/55 i think. pce

you drive a cobalt ss sc right? ill race you from 50...see how i do..... do you know how many times chevy's go in to get shit fixed..... do you know how many times kia's go to get shit fixed you'd be lying if you siad kias went more tell me how many times you have to go in to the dealership for problems and ill tell you how many times i have... cobalts are the lowest quality vwhicel sold by chevy i like them cuz they are a cool idea but how they are put together is just cheap.

i hung with a redline with intake headers and exhaust from a 50 roll so if you have more than that witch is easy to understand since no one owns a stock one anymore than yeah i wont have a chance .. im doing a motor swap here soon and i bet you wont stand a chance after..

i got intake exhaust 2.9 pulley 42# injectors custom hptuned ill be alot alot faster than that redline i do 0-60 in 5.56s

yeah those are three very big differences between you and a bolt on redline but like i said after thsi motor swap ill be able to max out 300 whp all motor once i swap it in ill post vids and you can comment then never under estimate a kia buddy has an optima that is upercharged making 300 whp and then there a couple running nitrous in the 13's and 12's and then a rio putting down 300 + whp and a supercharged kia sportage that can real on Z's

you do? any weight reduction or anything? its all about the drivers i guess at speed world those are that times you usually see go down for those cars and most of the cobalt ss/sc guys here launch..spin up to rev limiter. bounce once..then bog into second..so thats why they run 15's here. i wanna race your bolted up cobalt friend is it a 5 speed?

umm i disagree, i drive 04 sonata v6 and i raced, was it 07 or 08 civic si (from what i could see it had greddy dt exhaust (uggly one inmy opinion lol) and i think it was lowered), and we raced couple of times on long street with no intersections, just lights, we both launched couple of times and i lost civic for like 7 seconds, then it pulls up and pass me...
