Watched a couple of these videos...playing's pretty good in general, nice riffs, good slap, etc. Recording quality is not so hot, but what you're recording is good. What I would love to see you do is record something that focuses on just the bridge pup and on both pups blended that gives me a chance to hear those. I'm trying to decide whether to retrofit a P-Bass with one of the JJ humbuckers like you've got, or a musicman humbucker, so I'd like to hear what your bridge pup sounds like. Thanks!
Effectively yes, but its done through the left hand on the fretboard (assuming you are right handed) rather than using your palm on the bridge so it effectively removes most tone and leaves it as a mostly percussive sound
Nice playing man. nice to see you put some of your own flavor to it. A lot of movement..if you tried to work on your economy of motion it might help ya a little. i was the exact same way..not trying to cut ya down. keep up the good playing. dont listen to the shitty comments..they usually come from ppl that wanna be that good but can't pull off smoke on the water lol solid dude! 8/10
with your left hand lightly lay your index finger and middle finger across the fretboard (both to prevent harmonics) and then slap,pluck, strum, or whatever.
no problem! The bass is normal sized, 22 frets, some have 24 frets so they might appear larger. I also have fairly long fingers and am kinda tall so that might make it appear a little smaller.
i like it but at least i have gotten laid bitch

Is that a Peavey?

@j4kk4j
If by Peavey, you mean Fender, then yes ;) It's an American Deluxe P-Bass.

That bass has an amazing tone.

Nice! I've never met anyone else that calls it dead notes, everyone I know calls it ghost notes.
I'm looking into buying that bass. Can you get a smooth "Jaco" tone from it as well?

i still dont like basses that have that 'jazz' sound.
I like the way Mike Prichard plays it.
