  • @nuteronstar777 yea a free laughed at this fail wanna b americans who cant fight wars for shyt xD!

  • Hey asshole, we helped beat the Germans, and we SINGELHANDELY beat Japan on the other side of the world... You think England and Russia could've done it? NOT!!

  • Canada was one of the first to aid England with supplies, materials, and soldiers including pilots sooooo....just thought i'd put that out there

  • HERRR MEIERRRRRRRRRRRR......CUNT!!!!!

  • I am British and many of my countrymen know what the Polish pilots did in the Battle of Britain. Brave men. I've been to Warsaw - Beautiful girls!

  • Meier

  • Why this documentary makes no mention of Polish heroes of the Battle of Britain. It's heroic exploits were about whose history must be remembered. This mentality of Poland which the British must keep in mind. Today, the British did not respect the Poles. And this is after all the heroic and historic nation. CHECK ON THE YOUTUBE : Polish Flyboys over Britain 1940

  • No. 303 Polish Fighter Squadron

  • Thank God Hitler and Goering were on our side!

  • @HoekieBets They had the tools to burn London to the ground, they just misused them. Dropping incendiaries day and night over a large area, as the Germans did, allows firefighters to put the fires out. Dropping incendiaries in a small area and over a short period of time creates a fire that is almost impossible to stop. Concentrating raids in time and area allowed the allies to create firestorms in enemy cities, destroying them in single nights.

  • Dresden and Tokyo are terrible examples of the effectiveness of this RAF and USAAF style firebombing.

  • i searched battle not fking yapping of britian

  • Sorry i can't quite make out what he says at about 6:56 , Operation 'lowja'?

  • @TheWreckedGuy it sounds like operation lugher

  • @dauntlessrook mmm i did some digging but no success, its not iconic but would have been interesting to know, thanks for considering my question though - guess we'll never know

  • @TheWreckedGuy He said operation Loge which was the start of the London Blitz.

  • @TheWreckedGuy I looked up what i thought he said and i couldnt find anything close to it. I only did a light search though.

  • @dauntlessrook Operation Loge

  • @HoekieBets I think it would of been much the same their was no clear direction as to how to acheive their stated aim of destroying the RAF,most of the targets they needed to hit were well within the capability of their existing aircraft the radar chain,Supermarine at Southampton,Hawkers at Kingston all obvious targets but never really attacked consistently or thoroughly if at all. They needed better tactics and an achievable strategic goal the hardware they used was not a critical factor .

  • thank you for uploading, this is really helping me on my 5 page essay for history class

  • God bless those Allied pilots who fought in the Battle of Britain. If not for their efforts - especially by RAF 303 Squadron and other Polish pilots - in late 1940, the Second World War may have had a far different and frightening ending.

  • @Shootingloon Hitler is stupid to fight RAF. RAF had equal strength plus defense also their pilots are well trained.

  • Churchill was nasty. Luftwaffe was bombing the industrial targets in England, and Brits had almost lost the war, but Churchill diverted the attention of Luftwaffe toward civilian targets in England, in this way their industry started to recover while they had the excuse for bombing German civilians.

  • @jacob1363 Eh? how did Churchhill divert them specifically? Dont you think that the Luftwaffe intentionally bombed civilian targets as directed to?

  • @Mikez4 It started when ONE German bomber accidentally bombed a civil target in England, Germany apologized for this accident but Churchill used it as an opportunity and send some bombers to bomb German civilians. Then Hitler ordered bombing of civil targets. Even in public media this story has been explained, but not very often.

  • @jacob1363 The accidental bombing of London is well known it features in the film BoB which is shown fairly often here .

Even when the Germans were going after specific industrial targets their bombing proved no more effective than that of the RAF(ie not very) . The Germans were not winning the the battle let alone the war,the Germans in 1940 were playing a bust hand to try bluff us into submission .

  • @iroscoe heh, you are too much in movies, lol. Do you always consider movies as historic documents. England industry was almost kneed by the time Hitler started bombing of nonindustrial targets. And that's way Churchill was desperately demanding US to join the war and give loan and sell more weapons to England, and again that's why Hitler didn't consider Britain as threat and started Soviet campaign.

  • @jacob1363 No i don't but you said the 'accidental' nature of the inital bombing of London is not well known when it in fact features in the well known motion picture which rather disproves your point . Which exact industrues were on their knees due to Luftwaffe bombing, ship building, aircraft, arms manufacturing? none of which were hit effectively or consistently in 1940 . The Germans went East because their military strength and lay in land warfare rather than amphibious operations .

  • Hitler's showing his madness starting @ 5:19

  • subject 2:

I'm afraid UK simply can't just drop it and leave. we have to sick together in this world where you can wipe off millions with the big red button. (thank you USA...)

  • @Mneutralcritic Prat !. There is more to this world than America. Thank fuck !.

  • subject 1: america

examples of american "heroism" (ugh, i need to wash my mouth)

    1:1914-1918=

AMERICA saves the day! for the greatest good of humanity!... and a bit because the u-boots were sinking us trade ships

    2:40-44=

AMERICA saves the day! for the greater good of humanity! and a bit because heir economy was threatened by japan.

    irak:

AMERICA saves the...???? mainly for the petrol though

i swear, the day the milk car is invented, the marines will rearrive in normandy (cow shed of france)

  • Hitler was a coward. The minute he realised he was going to loose he took the easy way out and killed himself. Why anyone listened to him is beyond me. why wouldyou want him as your leader. Someone should of just took a gun and shot him dead before all this happened. one word... COWARD !!!

  • @1993CHEECKY1993 Watch Valkyrie and it will answer your question. They were a few in high command Military who made 14 attempts to assasinate him. Ironicly enough English Oak protected him from being killed lol. Sure, they're were many messed up people who figured Hitler was a god but they're were some against his regime and tried to do something about it. But still that was just a Minority. The Majority were still Brain washed and followed his orders.

  • @TechStudent2010 just some advice, do not believe all war movies hollywood decides to make, examples: u-571 and pearl harbour are all sooo wrong historically (changing history so america can claim more than before). many many germans were against hilter, you just have to look at the luftwaffe for example many pilots used to try save enemy pilots from SS interogation by claiming them as luftwaffe prisoners.

  • @pramboy09 Yes, i know. Did you know Himmler injurge of the S.S well his Brother uste to save Jews and get them out of Germany. Himmlers brother who was head of the SS??! was doing this. Himmler had to keep getting him out of trouble and out of jail for doing this constantly. I know there were some Germans "A handfull" but by the start of the war there was like 78% of Germany were assigned as Nazi's and National Socailists. The others chose to either do nothing or try to.

  • @TechStudent2010 no didn't where did you read that about himmler's brother? 78%? where did you get that number?

  • @pramboy09 Yep, its a known fact Himmers brother did that. And 78% percent of the German population were National Socialists or Nazi's before WW2.

  • @TechStudent2010 ok thats fine if it is a fact, i just want to know where you read the info from, also if it was 78% of the population were regestered to the nazi party i would guarntee many had no choice in fear of their lives if they did not.

  • @pramboy09 Well no, not really. If a few people decide to join the Nazi party then there friends and family will end up doing it etc etc. In Germany before the war there was alot of hate for the Jewish and alot of people did hate them for some reason and they would join the Nazi party because they were ruling this view out. The people of Germany did love Hitler because he solved there Financial problem and heavily rewarded them. Everyone had money in Germany even the poor.

  • @TechStudent2010 Look i agree, hitler unfortunalty for the rest of the world came in the right time for himself by blaming the depression on a minority of people (jews, which many fought for germany in ww1) he spoke what many wanted to hear and brainwashed the weak minded with his blind hate, he then played the race card again by saying how "pure" their race was.

  • @pramboy09 By the early thirties it was too late for the educated and smart to try to push him out, many did leave germany with thier family but many stayed worried if they did leave the rest of their families would be in danger of the nazi party, hence why many just followed so their families would be left alone, also hitler DID NOT solve the financial problem (the depression), Hitler gained power just as the depression ended and got the credit for it by his followers.

  • @1993CHEECKY1993 Hitler gained power just after the depression ended, many germans wanted jobs and a new prosperity (like the rest of the world) , hitler camed to power and everyone thought hitler was the reason of the recovery, then many blindly followed the mad man's bullshit ideologies and pushed germany to a far even worse fate than the depression.

  • @1993CHEECKY1993 In Japan a defeated warlord would be expected to commit suicide...in order to save his honor or what's left of it...very different way to look at it I guess!

  • and while all this was going on the americans just sat there watching they didnt bother to help until after the battle of britian in the 1941 the RAF defended britian and we are very greatful for there braveness protecing our country and skys

  • @charlieiscool1000 They sat on there ass yes. They got of their ass because Hitler declared war on America.

  • @charlieiscool1000 i hope you are equally gratefull for the many commonwealth pilots that also help defend england?

  • time and time again england has to fight for other nations.its about time we let the so-called "united nations "sort these wars out.god bless you "the few" even if it was in total vain.

  • @MrArnold1972 Sorry my dear but in 1940 England just repaired what it broke down before. It was British policy of appeasment and constant work on destruction of continetal stability in 1930s what allowed Nazis to get so close. What in no way downgrades heroism of RAF pilots, brtitish soldiers and people. It was great luck for world, Britain had Churchill to raplace Chamberlain.

  • I find it difficult as a Brit not to feel angry towards America. To be told "it's not our war" makes me wonder if we were, or are, as allied as we're led to believe.

  • @AlexisCapri Led to believe?

I'm british and I have no question as to whether America would do half of what we do for them - they wouldn't, that's what angers me about our government, year after year men die for a cause which is not our own and why? To protect an alliance which always has been, and always will be very one sided.

  • @Mynameisaw very well said-,i could not have put it any better myself.

  • @Mynameisaw thats not true at all. in WWII after 1945 America did most of the fighting because Britain was fighting for the past 5 years (acorse they did some) and England was sick of the casulties and need to recouparate from the battle of britain. we did our part. and if your talking about the war in Afgan then you realize that is just as much as your war as ours? i would fight for england any day i think most Americans would want to help.

  • @AlexisCapri i am not sure what war your talking about but afgan is your war as well as our. look at the numbers of American troops compared to british its a huge difference. honestly i dont care though. and i could understand why you would be fustrated with America but how our goverment works makes it really hard to get shit done as you can see. I would help you Brits any day

  • Hitler was such a touchy man...i wonder if its his language or his persnality...he was one of the most ambitious leader in all history no kidding. other leaders would not their name wtrittern on history if it wasnt for Hitler....I will record what he said 5:28...

  • Definitely. The few that gave so much.

My hat's off to the RAF from World War 2.

I will say this though, Hitler and Goering really didn't effectively utilize the Luftwaffe properly.

  • That's because Goering and Hitler are friggin' idiots.

  • @Dmundell1 History has shown time and again, that the side who finds it OK to casually throw away men, (GERMANY + JAPAN) will ALWAYS lose. You just cant afford to blow men on stupid orders and expect to have anyone left over to fight the next day. With the exception of course of Russia, 20 Million casualties speaks for itself though I think...

The WOUNDED are the ones who help carry on and win wars...not the piles of your own dead men in a pit from your last assault. Or aircraft for that matter

  • @kakabukkake0 yeah look what happened in ww1 during the somme

  • Look at the womans resolve. Her fiancee died, and she just got on and coped with it, no doubt at work the next day, just like everyone had to. Now days people would take x amount of days off or shut down if that happened to them. They were made of sterner stuff for sure.

  • @Dmundell1 never in the field of human conflict has so much been owed by so many to so few

  • @Dmundell1 Poor strategy loses wars I suppose

  • mad props to the British to be able to fight off one of the greatest air forces ever assembled

  • Kewlios

  • why was the other squadron/pilots were not honored on this movie?

The poles are the best fighter in the battle for britain..

  • That's true. But there weren't that many of them and they were fighting in the RAF in the Battle of Britain.

If not in this film, they have been, still are, and will continue to be remembered and honoured by the RAF and by British people generally - forever.

It's bond of valour and of shared memory - a permanent connection between Poland and Britain, in other words, and one that should never be broken.

  • That's probably because it's not convinient to remember that Britain needed their help at the time.

There was around 200 000 Polish soldiers at the alies side. A lot of Polish pilots died in the battle of britain but they very rarely receive credit for that.

They spilt their blod for Britain and then they country was sold to Stalin.

It's not convinien to remember that it's much more convinient to repeat Goebels propaganda about Polish cavalery fighting german tanks.

  • It wasn't "sold" to Stalin, it was simply a choice to either go straight from WWII and into WWIII which the world really didn't need, or accept what had happened. What should we have done? Declared war on the USSR in the aftermath of one of the worst wars ever?

  • @xylaphonemaster Watch "World War II - Behind Closed Doors" documentary.

  • I am not sure if you are correct. They didn't spill their blood for england perse. I am sure it was revenge for Warsaw just as much and the RAF gave them the chance for that revenge. Not to say they didn't do it for britain too but don't like the way you say sold poland out. Churchill warned against Stalin but america wanted out. Britain was bankrupt . not much they could do.

  • war is simple action and reaction

    bombing is no different
