@RoTBf3 I was talking about outside sponsorship, not field sponsorship. Field sponsorship is really good for a team, same thing as a paint sponsorship. Outside sponsorships require much more effort than needed, (gear/ gun sponsorship)
@dantesinferno48 well dude first thing about playing paintball is that you need to have a job. you cant play until you have a job. which brings the problem of the economy. but anyways get a job because you arent going to get any quality unless you are spending at least 300-600 bucks on a marker. and a tourney marker over 800+ dollars. if you really want a 200$ marker. find yourself a used ego05 or pmr2007.
@dantesinferno48 i would save up and get a higher end marker a 200 dollar gun is just gonna frustrate you. But if you insist i would reccomend either an Azodin or a Tippman 98. They are both mechanical markers that are real easy to clean/operate.
@Pencayks hey man you dont need jerseys. and you can literally play in cargo pants and jeans. trust me. i played an event in a long sleeve and cargo pants. theres a great team called revo that won world cup and they were in random gear. and you dont need sponsorship unless you are in D1 or pro division. Sponsors will not do much of anything. maybe 10% discounts.
Just to let everyone know, ive been playing paintball for about 5 years, im a D3 player for a team called Upstate Army (out of PBC Greenville, SC.) Some of you who play understand, but others........ Its not about sponsorship, its about having fun. When your sponsored, your required to wear certain items, or use certain equipment. Yes, its cool to have a sponsor to boast about, but this game is about having fun, not about who sponsors you or what level of comp. you play at
@QuakeTheUnstable sponsors are what keep the team alive, especially a paint sponsorship. If your field sells your paint at a discount, then you're basically being sponsored by the field. They want your team out there to drag in more players for the sport.
@jiggyfit13 well i wouldnt recommend starting a team until you have everything. and when i say everything is mean like good gun setup. good masks. great gear like valken. make sure you all get good before you start a team because a team in paintball means playing tournaments. if you dont want to play tournaments just be go and have fun as a group. sponsorships are mostly for teams who play PSP and nppl. that requires thousands of dollars just to play and a lot of cases of paint per event.
he has jt gear and all and a tippman a5 and i have a spyder sonix with mostly all the gear all but the cloths we love paintball but the other kids cant buy all equipment so do u guys have a foundation for kids to start up like cheap guns nd cheap equipment like cause we want to get into it like championships and stuff but we are teens paintball equipment is kinda expensive just let me know if u guys would help out to get kids started in paintball we would really like to be infront of a sponsor
@jiggyfit13 dude you arent going to get a sponsor at your level. you all need to have at least two years or more of recball experience before you start playing in teams. tournament paintball costs thousands of dollars. you need tourney experience to get a sponsor. let me show you the level of play you must be at to play tournaments and have sponsors. copy and paste this into your search bar. Lower Division Team Highlights - PSP Chicago Open 2010
@rynopaintball i have 3 years experiance and me and the other guy have been in compitions kinda like that just not so high we played 2 steps down from that
@jiggyfit13 hey bro look man i play tournament my names damian i have a mini ( about to buy a dp fx ) and i cant get a sponsor i have full gear been playing for four years dont worry you will get better and eventually you will get there just get in to every possible tournament and play hard the locals will start helping out if you are good trust me i help newbies all the time i have gone so far as to buy paint for a team so just get out and do it
@jiggyfit13 U dont haft to play in a PSP but you do need to have some experience under your belts, which i dont think you guys have enuff. You need to find what you can do to make those sponsors money and to give them a good name...otherwise there not going to be willing to sponsor you or your team.

@dantesinferno48 I use the etek 3 lt, it's pretty cheap for a tournament gun at $495, and it works just as good as the 08 ego.
