When the marchers changed their path (or perhaps intended to enter from the back from the beginning), we had to follow them. That was it.

Ironically, the blond dude in several of the videos, one of the leaders of the counter-protest, told us that the marchers had been warned we'd be aggressive and obnoxious toward them, but because our protest was silent (except for occasional, well-timed chants) we weren't the ones coming off as aggressive or obnoxious. It's amazing how powerful merely facing people can be without playing into emotional games.
