Superb - well done - such a delicate delicate piece to transcribe from piano and harmonically, it couldn't be more complex, yet you've definitely got it here - perhaps if reverbed to hell you might even capture the incredibly haunting atmos of the original too? Fantastic stuff.

Like you videos. Are you using a different tuning? I mean "f" on a standard tuned 7 is pretty high. buy it almost seems like your tuned E A D G C F Bb or something

@LaceratedBalls I believe it's more likely to be BEADGCF. EADGCFBb have to be tuned a whole fourth up from the standard tuning.

Maurice Ravel 1875-1937 was one of France's most important composers and very influential early 20th century music.

Le Gibet (the gallows) is built around one note: an ever-present, insistent B flat, a fatal bell which dies away in the gloom of the final pianissimo. Ravel has translated all the macabre resonance of the poem whose final sentence explains it: "It is the bell tolling from a town far beyond the horizon, and the hanged man's corpse that glows red in the setting sun".
