It's partly the UK town planners' fault- if they designed homes to have garages or closed parking spaces separate from main roads. Even in newer housing areas, people still have to park by the roadside or in alleys- you'd think some brains would grow after 30 years or so?

@SantomPh the biggest majority of the problems are casued by the government, not just the current but previous govenrment parties like labour who drew up massive plans for future housing sites only they always design the houses in a typical young family situation, 2 adults 1 child so enough room for just 1 car and keep the houses as close together as possable resulting in over parking/lack of space, worse still as most familys today have 2 cars (typical average per house hold).
