very practical advise. Exercise is important, but diet is about 80% of the process. You can take 2 hours to burn 1000 calories and turn around and eat 2000 calories in ten minutes-so what you eat can completely nullify the calorie burn.
What you need to do to lose weight is exactly what he said its not starvation mode if you slowly wean yourself down on food. you arent starving yourself your stomach shrinks so your body isnt think its being starved. slowly bring your calorie intake down while still eating every two hours just watch what you eat and how much of it. And excerisize as well. Expecially walking. and drink alot of water and you will lose it. you just have to stick to it!
@ACluelessKid is it more unhealthy to be 100lbs over weight or to lose it? there is nothing wrong with losing weight. just switching to raw foods and stop drinking soda and the weight will shed off fast. with no exercise you could lose 30lbs in one month easy. so with some exercise you could drop 100lbs in a few months no problem. i can personally attest that i lost 60lbs in 1 month with a 21 day juice fast and then switching to an all raw diet, but i was exercising alot.
I thought that if u eat less than 1200 claories a day that you go into starvation mode and u actually gain weight....whats the deal? if i want weigh 110 and currently weight 190, will this work for me in 4 months? even if i work out an hour a day? will this work? or will my body go into shock and stop losing....
@redsmooch989 man do starve your self it will make the pounds on becasue when your body goes into starvation mode anything it brings in it will keep as fat, eat 6 small meals a day it will pick up your metabolism

Exercise is good for you but doesn't produce the weight loss. It is all about counting counting counting... and then making your calories count, finding more bang for your buck, more food to fill the stomach for less calories. Vegetables are good for this. Weight and measure EVERY food you eat. This is the way!
@Fool4Christ777 Yeah, it isn't the calories you are burning WHILE you excersise; it is the calories that you burn as a result of getting your metabolism up.
@Fool4Christ777 exercise does matter...you burn off more calories and fat and also muscles burn fat as well...if you don't exercise and lose weight that fast your losing muscle also
@Fool4Christ777 well eatting the same amount of food, with less calories doesn't help you stop eatting as much, you should eat a normal amount of healthy food and not over do it, or until really full. because if you eat less, your stomach will stretch back into a smaller size naturally, and you'll want to eat less. kind alike bypass surgery, just eat less, and make the food you do it mostly healthy. and take epsom salt baths to relax and energize yourself!!! they are the best!!!!

I've burned 1000 calories on a tredmill, but it took me 2,5 hours and overstrained myself and became sick so it's not recommended.
