I ride a Wide Glide too but that freedom thing is a big illusion you know. The cost of the motorcycle was expensive as hell, gas is no longer cheap for it, and you better be willing to pay through the nose for the maintenance every 1500 miles.

If you are going to ride on a Harley, you better be deeply entrenched in the establishment with a good job or your own business like me.

Running wild and free is an illusion; unless maybe you want to do it on foot and live with your parents.

If only that were true.

It's pretty hard to run wild & free if you want to do it on a $25,000 Harley. I had to work for years at jobs I hated to save enough to buy the bike of my dreams. I will also have to continue working to pay for the insurance, gas, and maintenance to keep my Harley running.

As much as I love to ride, freedom on a motorcycle is nothing more than an illusion.

The people that are really free are probably without wheels & all walking.

@FLHTP07 I was @ the Heath from 76 till 80. Bought my 77 Sporty thru new car sales. Traveled thru 7 European countrys before heading stateside. The best part is I still have that Harley and a few more. ;-) I have some fine memories from that time in my life.
