@poopamultimatepoopy There was no scene of that at the end of the movie. We only seen him jump off the wrestling ring post. It is up to the audience to decide his fate. I too feel it is more fitting to have him die with that move. It gives the audience closure and also gives his death is more ponient.
Well, it depends whether or not they have open options. Is your drug addict living in isolation living from paycheck to paycheck and has no skills to back themselves up? And are they old too? Could be similar.
The point is that Randy, like any deadbeat drug addict, screwed himself by spitting said options in the face, right? At the end Randy's happy, but it's a measure of happiness found within the massive atomic screw-up that he tansformed his life into.
I can feel for the poor guy, but he dug his own hole.
hes a pro wrestler, theres nothing more in the world that pro wrestlers love to do than...wrestle
and what drugs? he did steriods to get back into shape, of coarse there bad for you when abused in that way, but i dont believe they give a "high" or addiction, the coke he did in the bathroom? idk seems like a in the momment thing
the drug was wrestling, he chose the drug of wrestling over everything else in his life
Yes. And that's why he fucked everything up to the point where he decided to 'wrestle' over trying to get his life back on track.
Either way you slice it, he was doing what felt best for him within the already screwed up circumstances he go himself into, but that doesn't mean he wasn't being a dumbass.
Dumbass dosent give the character any credit or justice, he was a good guy, good intentions in hart, but for some people, if it were not for bad luck they would have no luck at all
why just 2008 ? i think the best movie ever ther was , there is , and there will be ! i saw it 3 times and the end 10 times.. when he jumps of the top rope.. oh man did he died or win the match... this is terrible ! but i love this shit ! best idea ever best film ever oh my how great can be a movie ? not much better than this..
I think the idea is that he wins the match, but dies. There's no way he could have been having such breathing trouble and then landed on his chest ( in heart ops they cut through the ribs remember) and not have died! It's a really powerful ending. I agree, one of the best films ever.
The only scene I didn't like is when he's f*cking the skanky chick in the bathrooms! Lol! She was so gross I wanted to barf!
the camera angle were made out to make it look like a documentry that why they look like they are kinda following him it was one of the best movie 2008
i agree with you.actors were brilliant, mickey kicked ass but technically it lokks so poor and ordinary.but still its a good movie, not oscar good but good.
I think bruce springsteen really helped make the film successful. Because Bruce is a big star. And it probaly got Fox's Indie star search company. Search Light Productions to pick them up and continue the movie. Which is one of my favorite songs! It makes me think about my self.

I love his last words with Cassidy just before he greeted the crowd at the end. The most beautiful thing is he figured out what he wanted in the end.
Toomnyusernae 2 years ago
But isn't that like saying that it is beautiful when a drug addict just says "fuck it," relapses, and then kicks the bucket?

Dumbasses can be good guys. Why not? Just 'cause they fucked up doesn't mean they can't be swell people.
Randy was a dumbass, plain and simple. A nice, good intentioned, but ultimately self-serving dumbass.
It ain't just black or white. There's also gray.

I didn't really like the movie. The performances were awesome and top notch, but some of the camera angles were blah

What more important in a movie to you, the performances or the camera angels?
KajiCarson 2 years ago
If you didn't like a film because of camera angles, then that's quite amazing.

I think bruce springsteen really helped make the film successful. Because Bruce is a big star. And it probaly got Fox's Indie star search company. Search Light Productions to pick them up and continue the movie. Which is one of my favorite songs! It makes me think about my self.
