its pretty cool and i even read the above comments that you have worte the program to control motor .AS i am also working on this kind of project .So can you please say how come you have done this .AS i am trying to interface Emotator with microcontroller.
I mean by which platform did u used to write the program and and its configuration .

@LordMEGAVOLT oof... not sure i remember. I wasn't actually the one who built it, I just programmed the motor control. Sorry!

very cool. Does the copper next to the driven element effect the signal ?

I wasn't there long enough to try to receive signals while the antenna was on the rotor
sorry I couldn't be of more help, but I do know that the arrow II antenna here picked up satellite signals really well when we were just pointing it by hand
