  • Just amazing!

  • carter at 3:50........ holy fucking shit

  • Oh, and if the epic 3.55 to 5.25 doesnt make u wanna sing along, you're dead inside

  • Can someone explain the DMB haters to me? They're not my fave band by any stretch, but my taste in music enables me to recognize how amazing this and some of their other tunes are. I can understand not caring about their music, but actually hating it? I don't get it

  • Awesome...just incredible

  • such a unique, awesome sound. gotta love dmb

  • love it

  • Probably my fave "darker" Dave song... really feeling these heavier songs here latley. God this is amazing.

  • @nmoney53 The Last Stop is pretty good.

  • @dogluvr6776 another fave... gives me chills

  • 0:17 that bass is sick

  • what a great song and performance. hell yeah DMB

  • God,he's good. It's almost painful to watch.

  • @headstock48 agree 100% i feel that as well

  • Show Carter more!

  • I love his "dark" songs .... . They are so impressive ...

  • @HanaEurope Yea me too. The Stone, What You Are, Seek Up, Halloween, love that side of DMB. And my friends actually think Dave is soft...

  • @MysticDMBherb Haha :-)) "Dave is soft" . Your friends are soft! I think Dave is angel and devil in one! :-)

  • @HanaEurope Exactly, but I like the devil side more!

  • @MysticDMBherb Me too!! :-)) These songs make me horny!! ;-)

  • powerful...........

  • How does Dave play that lead riff while singing with so much emotion? That is some second nature shit for sure... Nicely done.

  • read one of the many dave books and u will know what warehouse is about and its not drugs

  • this song changed me somehow... its beautifully raw

  • i cant find any videos of him doing this solo!! i think that this song would be epic as hell just him

  • damn guy

  • His stuff is so much fun to play! I can't leave this one alone. This is bad ass music man!

  • Rhyme and reason, warehouse, halloween, the last stop, don't drink the water..... kick ass "dark" Dave songs.

  • warehouse is dark?

  • "dark" may not be the right word for it but it's definitely a heavy song. And Dave explains it as a song touching on drug addiction. The "Warehouse" being a place to escape. Actually, if you take the part out that sounds like island music, it IS a very "dark" song. In my opinion.

  • warehouse is about drug addiction?

  • I don't think Dave is a drug "addict" whatsoever but yeah I'm pretty sure he says it's about drug abuse.

  • awesome

  • hallowen vs. lover lay down

    proudest monkey vs. stay

    two step vs. last stop

    you havnt listened to enough

  • I just tried to learn how to play this. I learned it, but it made me wonder...How the fuck did Dave write that riff?

  • He plays weird ass chords based on the root note of the chord, and a strange accentuation of it - see two step for an example of this. But for his riff-ier songs like Tripping Billies and So Much to Say, he bases his riffs on the notes played in the barre chord of whatever root the riff/song is based around. If you look at it objectively you'll see what I'm talking about. Talk about an addictive riff to play though.

  • A man doesn't give a shit how to dress up you wmznyc... Shut up stupid!!!

  • so what he wants 2 look nice for the fans faggot

  • its obvious dave does drugs but its not like he get real fucked up before his shows, he probably has a joint maybe a shot or 2, or 5 lol then goes on its not like hes wasted or anything just gotta loosen up a lil get the feeling

  • really can everyone just stop with the posts about drugs? every single video god

  • Comment removed

  • nirvana blows. most overrated band of the nineties. the best thing to come out of nirvana was dave grohl

  • Ha. He forgot the order of the words in a few lyrics in the middle of the song, lol. God, I love Dave. The simple errors give it an interesting twist. The way he's singing this song, it's obvious that Mr. Dave Matthews is high as a lovely kite! :)

  • Jerry Garcia from The Grateful Dead, another great jam band, frequently forgot the order of the lyrics to their songs as well. I think it give live performance some spice and sets it apart from manufactured studio sounds. The wild tangents these guys go off and the improv is fantastic! Cant have that without a few mistakes here and there. I love it all. Long live and love DMB!

  • God put weed here for us to smoke it. The bible says so.

  • Who cares what he does, now or in the past. If he does anything currently anyway. He makes good music, as the rest of the band. And you just have to acknowledge them for that, because otherwise none of us would have heard them.

  • probably just smokes pot a little before or during breaks of shows..

  • no he stoned 24/7 hes a complete dope head, still i love him more than my family :P

  • so you know him personally?

  • theres nothing wrong with marijuana

  • This is fabulous.

    R.I.P Leroi.

  • msrysignals i like how you say it like your a life time friend, you dont know anything for sure. This song is about his drug use clearly but i like how you say he uses a lot of drugs. In the AOL sessions he says thats one of the biggest misconceptions people have of him that he smokes a lot of weed.

  • does anybody know if dave matthews is or used to be into any sort of drugs?

  • ive herd hes a big weed guy but dont know

  • stefan looked very different way back 9 years ago hahaha, same bass stand, different face lol.

  • Is it just me or did he mess up the third verse? He sang the second verse at the start of the third verse:

"How long I'm tied up, my mind in knots my stomach reels..."

    LOL

  • yeah he did. seriously though.. he is allowed to do that...

  • Of course, plus he really covered well, mixing the words around so it still sounded good.

  • That brother is a TRUE SHOWMAN...you even questioned yourself...did he mess up? Or did I hear wrong? Anyway it was seamless! Its STILL a GREAT Performance!!!!

  • Yeah, it took me like 50 listens before I caught it cuz I could not believe Dave could ever mess up. But he's still the greatest.

    RIP LeRoi

  • im not sure it was a stuff up huh if it was it sounds amazing

  • yea, he really recovered well didn't he?

  • hell yes

    care to swap email addys

  • Great Song

    Great Band !!

  • thats my personal opinion, this song alongside warehouse, ants marching, and typical situation are the best for DMB, grace on this band, one of a kind, JUST AMAZING

  • great song

  • what year(album) did dave switch gutiar styles to the one that he plays now?

  • do u mean electric? cuz that was 2000 i think....everyday was the album

  • I mean he plays standard accoustic taylors now all the time with the few electric songs. The guitar you see him play in all the old videos like Too much and trippin' billies, that black thin body one...he used to use in the live shows all the time, now he never uses it anymore, when did he stop using it?

  • I'm not exactly sure when he started playing the Taylors, but the Taylors he plays are Grand Concert style guitars that are smaller bodied and tend to have a brighter sound to them. Not so bass-ie. He's playing a Martin dreadnought in this vid, I believe it may even be his signature guitar. he still plays this (and other dreads) when he plays with Tim quite a bit but he's usually playing with the smaller Taylors with the whole band.

  • I wonder if he plays the same Costco Yamaha that I have.

  • not electric it was the chet atkins gibson he change to the taylor in 2000

  • @barrybeaut111 so should i go insult something that you enjoy just for the fuck of it?everyone has music that they enjoy on this level, or anything that you enjoy for that matter. so how bout you fuck off buddy. let the dave fans enjoy their fun

  • @whitebread11 nice bro, Im happy to see such a quick response and from the heart too. your right, i was having a bad moment, im an enormous fan of dave to the point my girl makes me wear headphones cuz i have to listen to every version consecutively like a bug with o.c.d. its was a dumb comment and i admit i was wrong. now your turn, fuck off till next time stat brat.

  • 2000-2001 if you watch Foldsom Field it is kind of the evolution that DMB is today. Dave's Taylor, Steffan's Mod's etc, etc.

  • Happyloser21 responce

  • @Happyloser21 he did not change styles, he changed guitars from the gibson to the taylor.and that was 2000 i believe

  • @Happyloser21 He did not mean electric, Before '99 Dave used the Chet Atkins which is that black guitar like the one the crash promotion concert, then in '99 he used the martin which he now uses for acoustic shows and then starting '00 he switched to the famous taylor he uses today

  • dmb is as old as me... their first album came out the year i was born

  • They started playing shows in 91, not 93

  • dude post the version of pantala naga pampa >>rapunzel from listener supported

  • i've been looking for that all morning

  • haha your welcome

  • this is soooooooooooooooo great :')
