  • I followed the Stealth Fighter competition in the early 90's between the F-22 and YF-23, I will still maintain, the YF was a better plane all around, and I feel totally justified with all the damn problems with the F-22. Kelly Johnson is probably turning over in his grave over this cluster...

  • 9:52 is actually f-16..not a mig-29.....

  • "operation just cause" lol Just cause the US likes to put their noise in the worlds business. The US tries to be the police of the world and one day it will bite them in the ass. Lucky I'm not a president of a country with a powerful military. I would unleash hell if the US even looked at my country. And I'm even an american and ashamed to be one.

  • music is annoying

  • Serbs crush this thing first!!

  • the image they put up of a mig-29 is actually an f-16. mig-29 has two engines and two vertical stabilizers and looks more (though not nearly exactly) like an f-18.

  • YF-23 looks better then the Raptor, way cooler.

  • To keep the radar from getting into the cockpit the F-117 Nighthawk has gold built into the glass.

  • Wait what? Mig-29? thats an F-16 lol man i can see mistaking that for an F-2 but Never a Mig-29

  • £100 million per F-22? I bet the US taxpayer wishes that were true!

  • Technology just stolen from Germany

  • f-22 * Craptor,lol

  • the F-22A raptor, cant fly in the rain, if done so, loses its stealth, due to moisture.. for every 300 hrs, of flight, 1 month of maintenance.. meaning 2 hrs per 1 hr of flight.. the production of the F-22A has been cancelled.. though it requires parts to be made in 40 different states.. meaning politically immune (jobs = money).. 2010, Chinese, Russian vs F-22A (Computer simulated operation wargame), by the US, stated... F-22A, was outpaced on all areas.

  • @teddythebenny watch?v=RgiThPPnIcY

  • Lol. Not a mig-29 Fulcrum, and yes its a F16 Falcon.

  • '

i like all american jetfighters than ussr russia jetfighters,,,

i dont like ussr russia jetfighters,,,

ussr russia did copy steal from american jetfighters

  • The F-22 entered service Dec 15, 2005.

  • @NWguy83 yes... and it cant fly in the rain..

  • @teddythebenny And thats why they based some in Alaska... Because Alaska gets no rain at all? LOL

  • The F-22 costs $143million USD per plane. The F-35 is on track to cost $100million USD per plane.

  • Come on Discovery !

How can I believe what you're selling if you put a freakin "MIG 29 Fulcrum" on an F16 footage? 99% of what you're presenting is public knowledge. The other 1% is just insignificant nicknames of those aircraft!

  • @deestilo

Yep, Discovery screwed the pooch on that one. It rather weakens the integrity of the show by misidentifying an aircraft like that. It reminds me of the cold war era when hollywood regularly used F-5's and Mirages to represent Migs. Some of the cheaper b movies still do this. I cringe everytime.

  • The F-22 was also a little more manuverable, and had better high speed characteristics. It was only a little less steathly.

  • Wow! They really fucked up their stock footage XD

  • hehe 9 kill streak and this baby can be yours

  • lawl @ F-16 flagged as MIG

  • At 9:51 it says Mig-29 but they show an F-16.

  • F117 tracked and shot down by old Russian radars in 1999? That's discouraging. I watched a Tom Clancy interview where he said "if u can see it, u can dodge it". I don't know how realistic that is although i respect the man.

  • easily spotted with meteorological radar

i had few pieces of it somewhere...

  • @greatachilles pieces of what? sh**?

  • pieces of downed F117a stealth fighter, aka nighthawk

  • @greatachilles really? that's nice. I'd have thought the gov't would confiscate such delicate things

  • yeah, well it's not quite delicate, just few pieces more like souvenir, some metal, got few marks on it, nothing special, just as i said souvenir :)

and yes the goverment took most of it i think, it is displayed in museum on Kalemegdan fort in hearth of Belgrade

  • @greatachilles cool

  • "F117 tracked and shot down by old Russian radars in 1999?"

It was more of an lucky shot since there were far more than one F-117 flying that nigh and they weren't shot down.

  • lucky shot still brought it down.

  • Yeah... a lucky shot.

    Four days into the war.

They fired a missile and the missile hit.

    Complete fluke.

    *rolls eyes*

  • @vodkasvictim Then how come they only hit 1? rofl. Cant see it! Even a blind man can maybe hit you once in a fight.

  • @vodkasvictim Of course it was a fluke, they only hit ONE

  • @Xiolablu3 they hit one with a missile made in 1946!

  • @Romagatyr

Firstly, it was made in the 60s. Secondly, they couldn't hit squat with the newer gear. Hence, fluke.

  • 9:52 its not a mig-29 its a f16 lol

  • F-22 <3

  • If there is one thing the US excels in, it is air power.

  • raptor got locked by typhoon!

  • @rawdenashitey That's because once the plane is say.. half a mile away it can detect the F-22.But by then, the plane would already be gone

  • that soul called mig 29 was a f-16 this show messed up

  • f-16 for mig29 LOL

  • Did you know the B-2 Spirits paint or "stealth paint" is worth more than if the whole plane was made out of gold!!!

  • a cool fact^^ill remember that xD

  • @su35supaflanka i have heard that before, so it is true? wow, that is full on!!

  • @su35supaflanka Thats why its a hangar queen. Its always having new RAP (radar absorbing paint) applied to it.

  • @su35supaflanka Uh.. at the price 2 years ago the b2's price in gold would be 2 Billion dollars. the plane in whole only cost 1 billion todays prices.

  • @su35supaflanka You mean gold plated massive gold ohweeeee that is another thing

  • @su35supaflanka Not now...$1750/oz x 158,000lbs x 14.5 troy oz/lb = $4 billion

  • @su35supaflanka Goodness, $2 billion is crazy! I'd rather have 67 F-15 Eagles...carriers are $4.5 billion wow! USA has 20 B-2's...$40 billion!!! I'd MUCH rather have 9 Carriers!!! or 1,330 F-15's

  • Comment removed

  • At 9:50 that is not a mig. Its a F-16 Falcon US jet

  • Lol, I was just about to comment that too. LMAO.

  • haha yea

  • lol me too... I was like wtf...

  • owned!

  • hahaha LOL.

  • @jtlovett27

An American show...you'd think they'd be able to tell their own aircraft apart :D

  • @jtlovett27 Those pesky ruskies are such copy cats, that looked exactly like an F-16.

  • Great

  • Great videos! Discovery Turbo is all about.

  • thanks, man, these are great documentaries, keep 'em comin'!
