Just what does No UFOs has to do with Chicago House?
Club 21 in Birmingham circa 1989.( Inner City good life, Lil Louis -French Kiss got played a lot). As for the tracks: Model 500-no ufos, Mr. Lee-pump up chicago, Tyree Cooper-turn up the bass...I never got to hear much of these as my friends didn't like to go to the club that played em, cuz they weren't , and still aren't, into rap house. I got the vinyls tho and dj'ed myself on retro nights at clubs.

Club 21 in Birmingham circa 1989.( Inner City good life, Lil Louis -French Kiss got played a lot). As for the tracks: Model 500-no ufos, Mr. Lee-pump up chicago, Tyree Cooper-turn up the bass...I never got to hear much of these as my friends didn't like to go to the club that played em, cuz they weren't , and still aren't, into rap house. I got the vinyls tho and dj'ed myself on retro nights at clubs.

Hokay, maybe I sould've been less vague. I stated that this woulddn't have been played at the Warehouse, since this was late 80's material (meaning that the Warehouse was closed when this came out = "early 80's"). But thanks for the elaboration on pretty much what I'd said in condensed form rofl

It was Juan Atkins, but he released it under the moniker Model 500. The track is No UFOs..definitely. Got it on a tape of V103 ATL house party somewhere. Great track. If you like this then you got to get the Wax Trax mixed cd he did...No UFOs is on it...The music still holds up..the best techno IMo was Detroit..

That's Good Life by Inner City. I only know this because I am originally from Chicago and this was the music we were dancing to back then. I miss it man. Happy music. No black, white, straight, trans or gay back then. Just ppl that wanted to dance and loved music. I am lucky to have been a part of it.
