These kids will be psychologically and physically damaged by these extreme measures of punishment. This is not related to discipline but only fear. Kids would be academically hindered for fear of the teacher and the cruel system of punishment-similar to forms of torture. squeezing a pen between the child's finger, for example, could seriously damage the child's fine motor skills which would affect his ability to use his fingers or hand for writing. Why torture children? ...no reason at all!

Since all principals begin as teachers, Generalcrash77 is correct and danthrplgst is the "ignorant and uneducated" one---sadly typical of the dolts to be found among the ranks of school teachers in America where the dumbest college students tend to get degrees in Education because the coursework is so easy.

Thank you for your comment. Proud Spankers try to enter intelectual debate, but when asked the hard questions like, where did they learn proper spanking techniques, they shutter away and turn to other spankers and tell themselves those farrytales, I got paddled and I turned out fine, I'm glad for the beatings I recieved, they did me no harm, one hand washes the other. I have offered a challenge for anyone to prove corporal punishment flies in the scientific community, not one has stepped forward

I don't see what Christian beliefs and jungle magic have to do with corporal punishment. BTW, if you must know, such "benign" acts of ear-pulling incidents in our Indian society have escalated to malicious incidents in the name of CP. Recently children have had their eardrums ruptured, beaten to a state of coma, and an 11 yr old girl died of heat-stroke when she was made to stand in the sun for not bringing her homework. Great for our society, isn't it?

Its too light a punishment shown here.....I would have pulled EARs even harder than this!!! Some kids deserve such hard to hardest EAR punishments; I pity this mild teacher that he must be worrying for loosing his job if becomes more strict than this! If I were in his place,I wouldn't have worried about job.....Job can be found another place where such donkey-students won't be spared if they're not behaving as per strict discipline-standards once established!
