  • My name is Felicia :)

  • Felicia Bandstand Dancin to me they are as good as Searching /Young Blood Honey Don't/ Blue Suade Shoes Don't You Just Know it/ High Blood pressure/ even Don't ve Cruel and Hound Dog, the greatest two sided hits of the 50's. And many of the Everly Brothers come to think of it But why Felicia and Bandstand Dancin did not chart is a mystery to me.

  • @Kitandroxandbec My bet would have been a payola issue. Not many artist couldn't afford air time back then, some DJs wanted as high as $100 per play.

  • I still have the bands old records and songs ... I downloaded many of them to iTunes. The group have even better songs after Felicia.

  • Excellent!!!!

  • Love both Felicia and Bandstand Dancing. Our band did an audio recording of Felicia you can hear on our website. Pretty simplistic when compared to the original, but even the younger members of our group love it. It's exciting to hear the family still gets together and sings.

  • this turkey can really gobble (LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL)

  • Both "Felicia" AND "Bandstand Dancing" are positively two of the GREATEST Rock & Records that I've ever heard in my life, needless to say,I bought it when it first came out,October,1958,I think.

What a shame that they were released back to back on the same record......they both should have been million sellers on their own individual merits!

  • @wes50smusic1 No arguement here my freind! I myself wore the record out as the video/label scan shows. Actually, I think I played Bandstand Dancing more often than Felicia. I agree, back 2 back wasn't a good idea.

  • Looking for a CD with Bobby's hits or his song Felicia. Or can this song be downloaded to Ipod somehow.

    THX

  • great song.I have it on 45 also.

  • GREAT find! This was the classic 1-hit wonder. Could you find the two by Vigor Fisher from teh same time AL CAPONE and THINK OF HAPPINESS?

  • dowopper... I sent you a private message last week and did not hear back from you to let me know how to post music on youtube. let me know sincerely, Jonathan Juliano (a/k/a mmollyyddookkeerr)

  • That is my mother Maryjane your talking about. Please be alittle more sensitive to her please. Anyhow, I have tons of the band pics and music (records and digital). I would post the Music on YouTube but don't know how to. SuperGup Tell your Dad that we still Jam (Dad, John Juliano, Tommy Juliano, Bobby, Joe Costa and me). Call me if he wants to hook up (631)848-6923.

  • Hi mmoollyyddookkeerr. I'm awfully sorry to hear about your Mom, I didn't know. You & I chatted back & forth about 6 months ago and you never mentioned her passing. I also lost my Mom in 1995, so I have a very good idea how you feel, my Mom was my BEST friend. I just don't know if your speaking to me or SuperGuppy07. I honestly don't want to offend anybody by any means, especially you and your Mom. I'll be happy to remove that statement by SuperGuppy07, just let let me know.

  • Contact me in a private letter and I'll explain in detail how to post on Youtube. I would love to hear all they have done.

  • Unfortunately, Maryjane committed suicide...my dad, Joe Boccia was the drummer...he told me this years ago! If anyone has any pictures or video of them playing back when, please comment...thanks

  • First of all, I'm really sorry to hear about that, I didn't know. I do have a photo of the group that Ings376 sent me, I'll be happy to send it, or, I can post Look Over Here Girl on JAMCO with the photo.

  • Hey thats is my mother, Maryjane, you are talking about. A little for respect for privacy please. Anyway I have a ton of pics and music from the band. I would post them but dont know how to just post music on youtube.

Anyway SuperGup, tell your Dad that the band (John, my father, Bobby, Tommy Juliano, Joe Costa and me) still Jam. If he would like to join us call (631)848-6923

  • AHH, YES! I love the accordion, I really never did until this group. 6 string I don't know. Go to my other post,:

Bobby & His Orbits - What Will I Do (When I'm Close To You)

scan down & see what mmoollyyddookkeerr had posted, you may want to send her a line, Bobby is her uncle, she tells about the group. BTW, thank you!

  • mmoollydookkeerr is a him. mollydooker is slang for lefty! Anyway to answer Rebop49... I am sure it is... what Jr High did you go to and I will ask my Father and Uncle.

    jonathan

  • The timing and location are right. It probably is!

  • Bob Groccia is my uncle. My Mother, Maryjane, is his sister. She sang back-up and female leads, also played the keyboards and, not to mention, the accordion. My Father is John, the bassist for Bobby and the Orbits. I see my uncle all the time and I will tell him people are looking for him. I have posted pictures on Facebook of the old band days. I used to sing with the family all the time... a real family past time. We still sing and play today.

  • WELL, you just made my day, thank you!!!!!!!!! I would love to see some old pictures of the group & add them to this video. I haven't any idea what facebook is. I'm happy to hear everyone is doing great and still performing. It's very interesting to hear the whole family was involved with the group, that is amazing. What else did they do besides the 2 that I posted & What Do I Say/Teenage Love? I want to post What Do I Say & would love to post a picture of the group with the song.

  • Was a fan from Greenlawn LI (Harborfields HS 62'). I have both their records on the Seeco Label & an additional record on the Jamco Label from 1963. The songs are "Look Over Here Girl & I'll Follow You". It was recorded under the name Bobby Grayson & His Orbits! I have a news clipping from "Music News" (1959) of the group

announcing the release of "What Do I Say". Will send a copy if you are interested. Would like to see copies of your photos too! Bob

  • Hi Bob, I have "Look Over Here Girl", but, I don't have "I'll Follow You" I would love to hear it? Also Yes, I would love to see the clip. Unfortunately she never contacted me anymore, I never received the pictures. Many people wanted to see them perform again & keep asking me where they are playing, sadly I can't answer them. I sure wish she would make contact again. I'll send you my email privately.

  • I am from Huntington Long Island and I heard about this group who is native Huntingtonian back in 1991.

  • If he's still around, tell him Space Patroller, Tiverton, RI remembers: De La Salle Academy, Newport RI,clas of '63

  • @mmoollyyddookkeerr I think my dad was in the band too. He is from Huntington Station and the other day his cousin contacted me and told me about him recording a song Felicia with his friends. I didn't even know he had a cousin, let alone recorded a song! Lol! Anyway, his name is Bob Cozzolina. I don't know if your uncle or mother remembers him or not or if it's even the same band, but I can't imagine it not being.

  • If anyone knows where Bob Groccia is today, have him post an e-mail address so his friends and fans can contact him...Thanks Frank from Lennys ClamBar

  • @pestoman222 I think my dad was in the band too. He is from Huntington Station and I just found out he recorded a song Felicia with the band Bobby and the Orbits. His cousin contacted me on Facebook and she remembers it and told me about it. His name is Bob Cozzolina. I don't know what he did in the band.

  • another great song i forgot about,thanks

  • Your welcome!

  • Are you sure it wasn't Big Al Sears - Tina's Canteen? I have Jimmy Cavello , I can email it, if you want.

  • i remember dancing to this at the old larkfield lanes in east northport, new york GREAT!

  • AHH, talk about the good days!!!!!! Gone but not forgotten!

  • I remember hearing they are from Huntington Station, New York.

  • I think you are right or right on the edge of Huntington I remember going to Bobbys sisters house probably around 1976 or 7 LOL its getting harder and harder to remember that far back

  • WOW! luckylady can you get a picture of them?

  • i wish i had a picture the last i saw bobby was in a drugstore in 1979 he said he was moving somewhere out west memories what fun they are!

  • Ah, too bad! Yes memories of the 50s & early 60s, GREAT years they were! I guess this is why I post what I do, it's hard to let them go. Only those who were around back then would understand.

  • I remember Zeke Manners playing this record on New York's WINS. I bought it and still have it. Still love to hear it! Now if I could only find Alan Freed's big band playing Tina's Canteen,or Jimmy Cavello & the House Rockers doing Foot Stompin, I'd be happy!
