  • Lol your video was much more helpful than the packaging instructions. thank yOU!

  • LOL stupid instructions on the package sucks XD

  • For the love of god I cannot get this to work. My fish tank is 3 feet off the ground and my siphon is like 5 feet long and it kind of coils around before getting to the bucket if that has anything to do with it. I try to fill it up with water first but only a tiny bit will go in it. Please help!!

  • I'm scared that my fish might get sucked in because they are very small D:

  • hey i cant c how u did this i bought 1 a while ago but all of a sudun it reverses its self

  • omg!! that was easy!! i used it to do a partial change too! wow i have a big tank and i can believe how may years i have done that the hard way.. thanks so much!

  • Hi Maddy, just came across this post. By pushing the syphon into the gravel u get the dirt sucked up that does get drawn down into the gravel, so yes you would push the syphon into the gravel. Dont worry that some gravel may start to come up in the tube, A little shake and it will fall back out. Check out Petsmart or any of the pet chain stores and you will find one. Best of luck with your tank. :-)

  • great video!(: i didnt even know wat syphoning meant untill i watched this!!! thanks so much! are you supposed to suck the gravel into the syphon? one video said that. and also where do oyu buy a syphon?? thanks!(:

  • Thanks so much! This was just what I needed. My fish appreciate it!

  • @Scrigy your very welcome, glad to help. :-D

  • thank you!

  • Ty Ty Ty! It really was super easy. Just got a tank from my friend and she only told me the suck method :( I'm pregnant and refuse to put my mouth on that nasty tube. You saved my fish and baby!

  • @MommyAmandaKaye Omgoodness! Im so glad u decided not to suck up that nasty water... and im so happy the video was able to help you. Best of luck to you and your baby . :-)

  • I made a mistake and suked the tube like alot of

people were saying to do. It got all in my mouth. I thought

    I was going to Die..lol.

Thanks for this info I will try it again :-)))

  • Thanks!! You're the best!!!

  • thank you!

I was told that the only way to get a siphon going was by sucking the tube until water came out :( your video helped

  • Thanks

  • This is brilliant. I was constantly using the suck method (which was disgusting because I'd end up with fish water in my mouth sometimes).

    THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!

  • thanks so much! i spent 15 minutes fumbling with the siphon and watched your video and got it going immediately! My fish and I THANK YOU!

  • thank you soooo much!! i was going crazy trying to get that stupid thing to start and first time after watching this i got it to work! thank you!!!!!

  • I just fill mine with water and shake it and it starts. =D

  • @Brian2298 LOL and your fish must think that its in a whirlpool. lol..

  • I tried this on my ten gallon tank. Once I placed the hose back in the water, the water stopped coming out. i placed my thumb on the bottom part of the hose, then I stuck the house in the water. I lifted the hose up like you did in the video, then let the water start to drain out, then water come out the other end into my bucket, that all worked, until I place the hose into the water, then the water stopped coming out the hose.

  • @rattqueen6969 Hi, its very possible that ALL the water ran out of your tube before u put it back into the tank? That would cause the water flow to stop. When u see the water running down the plastic tube put that back into the tank before the water runs out. Best of luck, let me know how u do. :-)

  • @xX0PatrickIsD3AD0Xx hi, sorry its not working for you. sometimes the debris is just too heavy to pick up. I try to move it around a bit and when it floats, I grab it with the siphon. Try to float the siphon just at the surface of the gravel for most of your cleaning. Use deep cleaning to get the muck and brown stuff that collects under the gravel. I hope this helps. :-)

  • Cannot thank you enough for this video - been driven crazy by the fact I couldn't use a siphon but now I can! :D

  • @Lehomes your very welcome.. glad to help. :-)

  • @capekate THANKS

  • Life saver! (or at least sanity saver!) Many thanks for the demo!

    Cheers

    Alan

  • haha oh boy - I've been putting the entire length of the tube into the tank to fill it with water which scares the crap out of the fish!! I cant believe i never thought to do it this way..... THANK YOU!

  • I had a problem with an older 55 gal tank and i siphoned it all into giant tubs before the glass broke. I got it all working but as soon as i tried to get it back into the tank(at 12:30) not wanting to wake my parents but I got to get it frmo the bucket to the tank now....I wonder if it works as well...doubt it

  • Thank you for the video, very nice demo!

  • thx, but will you make a vid on how to use it on a one gallon tank?? lol

  • yay because the instructions that came with the package said to move the plastic part up and down to start it and that was so tiring and still no water came out !

  • Thank you! This saves me another embarrassing trip to the pet store!

  • lifesaver. thank you.

  • thank you so much. now my fishies can have clean water again!

  • This was really helpful. Thanks for making the video!

  • Ugh before I just scooped it out with pitchers (took FOREVER!!) and this video really helped. I siphoned my tank all by myself and I'm feeling pretty proud. Thanks!

  • Can you tell me the name of this siphon?THe brand and maybe where you got it, thanks.

  • hello can you please help me? I was wondering if you made your siphon or did you buy it? It looks like you bought it. If you bought it can you please tell me where and how much you paid for it? thank you!

  • This helped alot thank you ! Happy Mother's Day !!!!!!!!!!
