I think its much better to play for a better team like Rosenborg then Eintracht Frankfurt...the German League is of course better then the Norwegian league, but you have like 60million people more in your country, but Rosenborg is anyway a much better side then Eintracht Frankfurt, youre hope for every season is to not go down to second division, while Rosenborg almost compare in Europe every season and has been one of 30 best fotballballclub in Europe, and still has that as an ambition..

I'm glad you broke it down to a basic level for us. A little over half of our natl team consists of mls players, the other half play in euro leagues (although they did start in mls). So, yes i do think skill level has something to do with the natl's performance. Look at U.S. international record when it didnt have a professional. Now to your second, question. What country has a better team? Let's look their head to head record. Yes, only one game, but how else do you propose to compare teams?

The Brazilian and Argentinian league is nothing compared to premier league, but they almost always get further in the world cup than england does. The national teams performance has very little to do with national league in each country. Norways Tippeliga has a very high import of players from Africa and other countires in Europe.

He seems overpriced. The MLB is a weak league, even if you compare it to the norwegian Tippeliga. 18 goals in 30 matches is good considering Dallas' variable performance this year, but if he's enough to help Rosenborg against some of the worlds best club teams in the UEFA cup - I don't know. Maybe he is, but not for certain, and 4 $? Seems fishy.

It's only a few months since Rosenborg held Chelsea to a draw at Stamford Bridge. In the same group stage, Rosenborg also beat Valencia two times and got third (Valencia number four) in the hardest CL-group in the 07/08 season.

Well done, I never said you were a crap team, but you have a load of pub teams to fight off for the champions league spots so it isn't exactly hard to do. You wouldn't get a Champions League spot here in Britain, You wouldn't be able to win week in week out against very good teams. Norwegian Football is shit, Rosenborg are the only team that would probily have a chance of a top half finish in the Premiership.

While collecting 7 points in the CL-group last season, Rosenborg were in nomansland in the norwegian league. Rosenborg is by far the biggest club i Norway and the potensial is big enough to beat every team in the world on a lucky day - but despite this; RBK ended 10 (or so) points behind the best norwegian club last season. That may tell something about norwegian football - don't you think?
I won't say it's top of the pops and it is definetly not Premier League class, but it is okey.

Well, I've seen the teams that have gone down the last few years from PL, and I can tell you Rosenborg wouldn't have any problems surviving. I agree that they wouldn't be near a CL qualification from PL, but that's not the point is it? The point is that this player will get a lot more competetive games and exposure to European clubs with Rosenborg, no matter how easy they get there. Cardiff is just stuck in the kick-and-run mud that noone watches.

There's no question where he should be going. Cardiff fans would welcome him with open arms - They are a better team than Rosenborg, and play in a better standard of league than Rosenborg.
