Having just read the original play and falling in love with the brilliant script by Tracy Letts I can safely say that the movie does NOT do it justice at all! this was one of the coolest scenes from bug... still I think that the best scene was that Peter went stabbing the doctor, because he thinks he's a machine... super funny :P

i really don't think that people should be criticizing this movie and calling it stupid when, in their comments, they can barely spell an entire sentence correctly. if you're someone who can appreciate a good and, in this case, truly terrifying film, then see "bug". but if you're into unintelligent cinematic horseshit (for example "step up" or "accepted"), then i suggest you stay away from the grown-up movies and stick to something more along your remedial level like "stomp the yard".
You all who dissed this movie don't really get it. This is not meant to be a straightforward scare-em-with-monsters movie. This is a actually a study in psychological terror. There are no real monster bugs in this movie. The terror is in witnessing two seemingly ordinary people descend into paranoia and madness. So, in the end, the only monsters are the ones who make monsters of themselves by their fears.
This was the absolute funniest movie I've ever seen, The entire theater was dying of laughter. I can't recomend it as a horror film, but i can DEFINETLY recomend it as the best comedy of the year. So if you see this film...have a couple drinks...bring a friend...and you'll have the time of your life. It's like Snakes on a Plane x1000. The best line? "I am the super mother queen!"
