  • i aint never noticed that. it does look really cool

  • I had a look at a video from Japan.

May it be said that I "am terrible?"

The cabin of the Japanese car is small.

I cannot look other than a mortor show in Japan.

The truck getting into is 600HP of "ISUZU" now.

  • Thanks for watching, Merry Christmas

  • There is it and merely goes, and thank you for an answer.

The Peter build that I transport steel materials or a heavy industrial machine is my admiration.

I am really large-scale, and a calm style thinks the American car to be a splendid car.

Of 9.11 pray its soul may rest in peace.

  • I had a look at a youtube video.

I looked and thought a truck of a video to "be terrible" some other time.

I had a look at it with a Japanese from Japan, but I work as a truck rider in Japan, too

I was weak in English conversation, but read a sentence by translation software.

Then please do its best safely.

    Merry Christmas!

  • Yeah defiently alot of riskin right there. Ever since I was a little guy till now, it had always been my dream to haul liquids. Do you know if you have to be driving commerical for a year or so to recieve the hazmat?

  • no just have to pass the federal background check and fingerprinting to get the ok to get a hazmat endorsement, then you have to pass the written skills test for hazmat at your dmv/secretary of state.

  • one didn't used to have to, I don't know what kind of new rules they've made since 9/11

  • no, you just have to pass the test, I got a hazmat at trucking school. didn't renew it as I never used it much. most of the Hazmat I hauled was in cunsumer quantities & wasn't required to be run under Hazmzt regs.

  • Thankyou Irryboard for your compliment. I understand all the additional costs and waits. but it's all worth it =)

  • does a tanker job include extra pay?

  • Depends on the job and who you work for. I only haul fuel so for me no. If I worked for some one that normal hauled dry goods and sometimes haul fuel then yes.

  • It should! Try pulling a tanker without baffels. When ya come to a stop - ya get an extra "push" when the liquid comes back forward - especially when you're less than full. The guys who haul the really nasty stuff usually get paid more - but they also take a hell of a risk to get it. If ya screw up and roll over a flatbed or dry van with normal stuff - local authorities just get irate cause ya tied up their road. If ya roll a hazmat tanker - God and everybody shows up - and it ain't pretty!!

  • Usually. I wouldn't pull a tank for the same pay rate I get for pulling a dry van. I have the endorsements, mind you - I just happen to currently pull a dry van. Nice and easy, except in a strong crosswind. Tankers are just too much a pain in the butt. Thankfully, the company I drive for pays an extra 3 cents per mile on hazmat loads (again, in a dry van trailer). If they didn't, I wouldn't pull 'em.

  • You are so misinformed, I drive for Miller Transporters Inc. we are teamsters backed, I drive for union scale with all the great perks, way above what any dry box company pays!

  • That's nice. I wouldn't belong to a union if it meant a 100% pay increase and a 50% cut in the work I had to do. Not gonna give any portion of my paycheck to any union, particularly the Maf...er...Teamsters. I'll represent myself when dealing with management, thanks. As for tankers, there is one type I'd happily pull - dry bulk. Go a few miles and whatever the load is will pack down and become pretty much one solid mass, no sloshing :)

  • i cant wait till i drive truck, and i cant wait till i can get my own rig. do you need a special hazardous material license to haul a tanker? i admire you guys!

  • Yea, tank and hazmat if hauling fuel

  • Depends on what you are hauling

  • Not just to pull a tank - that's just an endorsement on your CDL. When ya start hauling volitile stuff like fuel, some chemicals etc - then ya need hazmat endorsements and must follow some pretty strict extra rules. All truckers should be admired. Without us - nobody could get their stuff!! I have 16 trucks - none of them haul hazmat stuff. My hat's off to those who do!

  • Not only Fuel. Places like Praxair, Boc, etc require Tank, Hazmat, and 3+ years of relevant experience....but they pay well, and hometime rocks.

  • britarthc - you seem like a good man, and eager to join an honorable profession. Truck driving is just that - honorable. But please, look at insurance rates, fuel costs, tires, truck payments, payment delays etc. before ya jump into the fire. Life can be rough out here!

  • I quite agree. Break downs can cost a lot, too. Those darn mechanics sure do charge a lot ;)

  • do you have to still be 21 and up to have a cmd or is it now 18 and up

  • Still 21

  • In MN is 18 for intrastate and 21 in interstate

  • I think it differs by state? In Georgia it's 18 for Intra-state and 21 for Inter-state carriers. There's also the insurance company to consider. Mine requires 25 years of age and three years experience with no points on the CDL.

  • Hey Two Times.

    Where was that filmed?

And where is Trucker Troy's youtube videos??

    ~Aaron

  • on the way to Rock Springs WY up highway 191 just south of interstate 80 and at Mad Jacks Truck Stop there in Rock Springs, Troy doesn't make videos yet anyways that I know of, I just met him traveling up the road on the c.b. and we stoped there and had lunch together, really nice guy, he even bought my lunch..........

  • Where can I find a video of tanker trucks in Toronto? I'm getting tired of these. Not that they're bad.

  • i love the fact you show a genuine passion for trucking

  • That guy seems pretty cool! Good ol boy, just like you Jeff :) Love the song too! Going to have to play it on a future Podsafe Music Hour Show!

  • beautiful!
