Man! Thanks God! That's the first video where one can see what good Death Magnetic did to Lars Ulrich. It seems that the rehearsals for the next tour did him a lot good. He is not atrophied anymore. If you watch the DVD "Making Magnetic" you can notice that he was still very slow and the beats were very painfull to him.

I, sadly, agree. Im going to see metallica on nov 18 in tulsa but i liked united abominations better than death magnetic. Death Magnetic ws really messy sounding and the drums seemed louder and you couldnt focus on one instrument

I beg to differ, i think metallica had a hunger, but it wasnt the hunger to impress people with awesome metal music, like in past albums. In Load, their hunger, James for one, had a hunger to delve deeper with more personal song writting and mature and push the boundrys of metallica.

They just werent trying to melt anyones face off anymore. they were trying to kick ass, but it was more in terms of self and artistic exploration.

I can hear Load style stuff in DM also, but its VERY minor.
