  • Did you notice any difference between the wilkinson ones?

  • Is this guitar made in Korea?

  • These LS guitars are amazing!

  • i have a tokai ls 48 and i love it (love rock model)

  • hey man im looking to buy the same guitar as you :) can you give me the good and bad points please?

  • @shakeshaftthomas sure, but which guitar do you mean?

  • Sounds great! You play guitar AND drums! Cool man

  • @StowBurst liar

  • Very nice! But which has neck thickness closer to real lp? The Tokai or the v100? My V100 neck seemed a little thin, though they do vary even with same model.

  • yeah, the V100 is more of a '60 style neck - the Hodson was a FAT neck, and the tokai was inbetween. my hands always preferred the V100 though.

  • them a4's do sound good in the last guitar, am gonna get some to try, like the nugent cat scratch fever too!

  • do it, man - you won't be disappointed. the A4s are great, they have the warmth and spongeyness of A2s with some of the bite of the A5. i love 'em. that guitar is still my number one, after five months - a new record!

  • and yeah, always have a some space for the Nuge... :o)

  • I'm getting a couple of Zebra PAFs from Catwhisker too. I'm going to ask for 2 slightly hotter 59' style gibson humbuckers. I'll be glad if it sounds as good as this though.

  • seriously, Allan is amazing. He'll wind you exactly what you want. any idea what magnet and output you're going for?

  • Well I don't really like pickups too hot, I was hoping he'd use alnico 5 which I think he is. He emailed me back and said he's do those for £50 each!

  • yeah, alnico 5s have a really nice quite bright sound. the black bridge pickup in one of the guitars in this vid is an alnico 5. great stuff

  • watching this vid again after a while, i REALLY like the way the A4s sound in the last guitar sound. no wonder that's my number one...

  • eeey... nice one!

  • Hey man, good work. That pickup is not too hot, and has good drynamics, as you can here when you turn the volume down. And what is a "mojobox"? I have only heard of them from your profile? Are they a well known thing? Because if they are, I am going to feel VERY stupid. But yeah, sounds sweet.

  • yeah, the mojobox is a secret known only to a few on the My Les Paul forums... it's a magic box that goes between guitar and amp and makes it sound cool :o)

  • Lol, yeaahhh, ahhhhh, ooooohhhh, so thats where I've seen it...How do you get it...?

  • nice dude. I guess you run the mojo in front of the twin tube?

  • yeah, guitar into mojo then pedals. have you heard about the mojoboxes?

  • no, I really don't know about those pedals.

  • hi man, just responded to another guy about the mojobox. it's a rare, handbuilt box that goes between guitar and amp and gives me another level of control, and makes everything sound nice :o)
