@organicsuperman If the car is not tuned properly, which is common, then not all the fuel is burnt and the fumes escape. Smelling fuel near busy roads is an indicator of being in high concentrations. This happens in cities or near free-ways. Obviously any car will release the neurotoxin.

@isofaster The original reason they stopped farming hemp is because the textiles last to long, so they banned it and swapped it for cotton. Cotton wears out quickly, hence they can sell more because people have to keep buying it.

Hurst corp owned millions of acres of forest and most of the news papers in the day, they wouldn't stand for that!) , and hemp oil was about to replace crude oil and of its uses ( Henry Ford built a car from hemp plastic panels that ran on hemp fuel !) and DuPont corp ,oil giant of time , was not going to let that happen, the video "The Union" is a must see.

Something that many don't know, the government subsidizes the creation of ethanol, and mandates its use in fuel.
So the entire process is, and always has been, political.
Don't forget the subsidies and tariffs for corn growing that makes high fructose corn poison so much cheaper than sugar that it gets used in everything, making America fat and sick.

@organicsuperman If the car is not tuned properly, which is common, then not all the fuel is burnt and the fumes escape. Smelling fuel near busy roads is an indicator of being in high concentrations. This happens in cities or near free-ways. Obviously any car will release the neurotoxin.
I recall when ethanol was first being used scientists claiming it's a health risk, but few seem to be shouting from the hill tops any longer.

It takes 1.5 gallons of water to make 1 gallon of ethanol for beets, as opposed to 2.5 gallons of water per gallon of ethanol for corn. Corn ethanol subsidies and their compulsory inclusion make fuel prices go up. When fuel prices go up, prices of other goods tend to go up as production costs increase. Reduced corn supply pushes prices up for food as well as cattle is more expensive to breed. Compound this with the fact that the State creates money out of nothing which pushes prices of everything up (disproportionately), you get hit really hard.
Prices of oil and many other commodities are stable in market currency - gold.
