  • They trick us in this trailer... make it look like kirk was on the enterprise with picard and crew :(

  • @Revoltingmachine I think thats a good thing, that it doesn't give away what is happening in the film, it truly teases us :)

  • @BarneystudiozFilmz that's a better way of looking at it :) I just wish Kirk was on the enterprise with Picard the other cast members. Wouldn't it be awesome if he commented on Worf being in the federation?! :D

  • @Revoltingmachine Now that would have been good, its a pity that they coudln't have goen back onto the enterprise at the end isntead of going back to the mountain top, arrested soran in ten forward and Kirk could have wandered about on the Enterprise D, maybe have even been reunited at some point with his old friend Spock and I think he would definitely have something to say

  • @BarneystudiozFilmz I feel that this was a really great movie, but it is definitely full of missed opportunities. It could also be that Shatner didn't want to do anything more than what he did. OH man if he got to meet spock again that would have been epic!

  • @Revoltingmachine I enoy it immensely, the soundtrack is great, the effects are great, one of my favourites, plus it ws oen of the first trek films I remember as a child, but yes they so missed out on this one

  • @BarneystudiozFilmz I completely agree. I think it was the last movie to use a model for the ship. The enterprise E and voyager were CGI

  • @Revoltingmachine Yes, they all used CGI after Generatons, even the shows suchas DS9 and voyager, Voyager as a ship was ok but nothing to write home about, Enterprise E looks damn impressive but we don't get to know it that well as we only see it in first contact, insurection and nemesis and even then its under used, I love the Enterprise D and it remains my favourite to this day, the fact we have seven years to get to know it inside and out, plus it just looked beautiful

  • @BarneystudiozFilmz Enterprise E was done really well but definitely underused. D was great. The original enterprise and all of them in the movies I thought were done really well

  • @BarneystudiozFilmz This isn't true, it wasn't all CGI. There is an Enterprise-E studio model, look it up.

  • @TazG2000 No I know they used models, I just prefer the older models of the first 7 films and the TNG era

  • Wait? How did Kirk survive while he disappeared in the engineering room in the beginning?

  • This video went viral on Santiago

  • original star trek crew was made famous by picard . and these turds just got some movies and stole and mooched fame cos of picard revival of star trek these kirk is a turd

  • Can someone PLEASE TELL ME WHICH STAR TREK MOVIE WHEN THE SHIP'S OR ENTERPRISE'S ENGINE BROKE OFF WITH KIRK? PLEASE SOMEONE!!!

  • @Cpnowys1awsome this is the one...generations.

  • @lestat34208 This is the one when The engine room broke off?

  • @Cpnowys1awsome yes in the beginning of the movie..

  • Felt like a trailer for a TV movie!

  • Star Trek: Generations was a great movie.

  • ST : Generations had so much potential...

They made a beautiful continuity between the two Star Trek worlds.

The plot to unite the two Captains was great and believable in the Star Trek world.

    The villain was awesome...

The characters mostly all had something to struggle for.

But they blew it with the fact that they couldn't give the Enterprise D a credible way to go up in flames... I mean, come on !!! An outdated BoP kicks their ass this bad ? That overshadowed much in the film...

  • @Damorann The Bird of Prey cheated. They took advantage of a weakness in the shield's frequency that they otherwise wouldn't have known about. On the upside, the Enterprise took those Klingon bitches down with them. Although why Geordi didn't just eject the warp core is anyone's guess.

  • How can I be the only one who loves Generations? I thought it was awesome!

  • @082076 I loved it too! :)

  • @082076 you are not alone in the universe. lol

  • Professor X and Denny Crane team up to stop that evil albino man.

  • i dont need to be lectured by you i was out saving the galaxy when your grandfather was in diapers

    i lve thes movies

  • Star trek Generations is Brilliant movie, Combinie both Captains, Picard from the late 80s and early 90s, and Kirk From the 60s, ill keep my spoilers to a mimumum, but their was one particular part they everyone remembers The Enterprise explosed.

  • "I can't do this alone. I need help" so you go and get Denny Crane.

  • This Movie would have been a Lot Better if Kir khad been Brought aboard the Next Generation with some Extended Scenes with him taking Command as Picard is Knocked out or stuck off the ship.Killing Kirk was an awful Mistake both Creatively and Marketwise. Kirk IS Star trek whcih is supposed to be about a Positive uplifting Future,. Killing Kirk contradicted that. Kirk should have Mysteriously Dissapeared at the end of the movie in order to save the day.

  • "trailer for star trek generations trailer"?

    TRAILERCEPTION! ~BBWWWOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM~

  • Jonathan is the best,Fuck of the Rest ! ;)

  • Jonathan is the best,Fuck of the Rest ! ;)

  • This is a horrible trailer. It basically tells the whole story. Enterprise stardrive section being destroyed by the warp core breach / Bird of Prey and the saucer entering atmosphere is a huge spoiler.

  • It's probably bad that the trailer is more epic than the movie

  • I could not stand Generations. They killed Captain Kirk and destroyed the awesome Enterprise D. Bad! Bad! Bad!

  • @freedombear79 It's all to do with the movie's message. It's all about learning to leave things behind such as the enterprise D and captain Kirk. I loved this movie.

  • @Battle5tarRJC I saw Generations at a Sneakpeak on November 19th, 1994. I thought itwas so so. Kirk Death Scene was sad adn eevn Hurtful to watch. It also lost some impact knowing that of the other Main Character of Original Star Trek could die and return. so could Kirk. Pass the popcorn please........

  • @Roadracer987654321 I think his death scene is more effective if it's understated. If you glorify it too much it becomes over kill. Killing him in a small scale way made it more shocking and had a bigger impact on me. I think it's designed to be hurtful because...well it's Kirk.

This is all in my Trek-A-Thon review BTW.

  • @Battle5tarRJC Oh the Trek-A-Thon isn't up yet but when it is it will be good.

  • Don't let women who spout psycho-babel behind the wheel.

  • The X-Men Origins: Wolverine of Star Trek.

  • Comment removed

  • I think that line, "Let's try and cheat death together", was cut from the final release because I don't remember it from the film.

  • @crazy88boss i did saw it in the movie.

  • I remember this it was so cool.

  • why do the klingons have disruptors and the federation don't. Also who came up with weapon name disruptors.

  • @haqatak23 idk who comes up with their names. Feds have focused beam phasers and klingons, romulans etc prefer desruptors, which appear to be more of a burst weapon as opposed to a constant shot.

  • Star Trek Generations was the best Star Trek movie ever IMHO.

  • This was the worst star trek movie ever! How the hell does that missile reach that star in 11 seconds, without warp? unless im mistaken, thats a minshara class planet, and M-class planets are about the same distance away from their star as earth is to the sun, so it takes the speed of light 8 minutes to reach earth, so how can that rocket/ missile reach that star in 11 seconds without a fucking warp drive!!!!

  • @samysasy419 and moreover how did the light from the collapsing star go out so quickly? Even light can only go at lightspeed.

  • What a missed opportunity, this could have been so epic but it turned out to be merely a mid season 2 part episode. Now if they did a Bring Back Kirk movie that the trailer promised. . .

  • I just thought it was SO cool that captain Picard and Kirk were in the same room..this is a cool movie!!..

  • Ya bring back Capt. Kirk to boost interest in the first Next gen movie and ya kill him on some rock in a slap fest with Malcolm McDowell?? Really?!....Yeah that made me like the Next Gen group...The movie also exposed Patrick Stewart to be a really bad actor in my opinion...I mean the scene where he gets emotional about his nephew is pathetic. As far as I'm concerned, Star Trek ended with Part 6 The Undiscovered Country.

  • I watched this movie because I was a fan of TNG. Never saw the trailer, had no idea what it was about. And for that, I think I probably enjoyed it more than I would have, considering that the trailer spoils Soran's plan and the fact that the Enterprise D is destroyed.

  • The trailer is a bit of a spoiler. The movie is awesome though

  • The best part of this movie, in my opinion, was the dramatic crash of the saucer section! Good movie otherwise, but that was the best part.

  • The bit where Kirk says "Lets try & cheat death together" is that a cut scene? Is it on youtube? thanks

  • Set phazers to lame

  • They should make a movie of the shatnerverse books. Kirk almost dies so many times, they never would actually have to kill. It even has the Borg bringing him back.

  • Is a shame the Enterprise D only got one movie budget screen time appearance, but what an appearance!

  • I like how they try to make it look like Kirk and Picard do actual Star Trek-y things together.

  • AWESOME MOVIE!

lol Data with an emotion chip is hilarious!

  • Nice transfer!

  • wtf i havent' seen this one :S. Thought i had all the movies... , And ye the trailed just showed everything in the movie, thats funny :D

  • Sometimes trailers give away way too much.... they showed the Enterprise star-drive exploding! Ah well, at least this trailer didn't have footage from Season 4.

  • Woaw even when Data laughs, he's still epic !

  • Part of the trailer uses music from Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country (namely the battle theme and Klingon theme) as well as the Motion Picture/Next Generation theme :)

  • Did anyone notice how they make it seem like Kirk and Picard team up and do cool things together on the Enterprise? That would have been too much like doing the right thing.

  • AWSOME

  • damn, I'd rather watch the trailer then the movie. I'm sure I'm not the first person to say that.

  • I think Generations is a very good Star Trek movie, and its a nice kinda passing of the torch to what Ive always felt was the best follow up series to Star Trek. That said I also feel Kirk shud hav had a better exit. Kirk should have died with his ship in battle, like how a Captain stays with his ship when its going down.

  • @RaikenXion i realize this is an old post but unless i'm mistaken kirk died twice really. once while saving enterprise b and then in the conflict with soran.

  • @tiberiius Yes he dies twice, but becus of the time influx thing, history bieng changed, which is the factual recording of his death?? I mean which is the reality that the film ends with? So wen we carry on with the whole timeline of Star Trek in general, history after these events will dictate Kirk essentially dies "Once" lol. So outside of the Star Trek films, the history of Star Trek and fans can say Kirk does indeed "die twice." Inside this world, history will record kirk dieing once.

  • @RaikenXion yeah, it's totally confusing what is the final verdict. two deaths or one, but then again it's star trek and that's what happens when you mess around with space and time :)

  • @tiberiius Which is y Ive never favored time-travel plots wen it comes to Star Trek. Becus u can always go bk and change sumthin. Its also kinda y I dont really much favor the new latest re-boot, Star Trek movie. I dont like now that its trying 2b a separate universe. I wud hav liked it alot if it wud hav just simply been a prequel, about a much younger Kirk, Spock, Bones and crew.

  • I thought it was pretty good.

  • "The torch of adventure"...should have been tossed on the reels of this piece of crap.

  • @talkinghead80 , This was a great film and well done and a favorite of mine.

  • Am I the only one that liked all of TNG movies?

  • @Inimoulleb i only seen this one and nemisis (thoiugh not the beginnings), and i think they're pretty good

  • No,but I think First Contact was the best of them. That being said,I do enjoy both Generations and Nemesis(I find the death of Kirk and Data to be both satisfying and touching for both films),and I though Insurrection was entertaining,if underwhelming.I personally like all 11 films, even one, nine, and five. While they are the weakest ones,it's not like they don't have merit.

  • @NeoConnor1 You don't count Star Trek: Of Gods and Men?

  • Comment removed

  • @Inimoulleb NO, you are not. I also like them all... Insurrection is my favourite

  • @Inimoulleb Your'e not the only one (: I liked everything except nemesis. that movie was boring

  • better than the series

  • So basically, this entire dreadful movie can be condensed into two minutes and fifteen seconds....

  • u know i like this movie. it was pretty good. just a nice sit down movie of the crew we love. but when i watched it years ago i did feel it didnt feel much like a movie, just one huge tv ep. which is funny cuz i just watched the movie with comm. and the writers said even to them it didnt feel like a movie, just a huge tv ep. and that they dont care for the movie much cuz the studio wanted so much. a new bad guy, data to be funny, the old crew, new crew, kligons and this and that

  • lol even in the trailer they gave a fuck about the uniforms..

  • Looks like a good movie im not sure if i should watch it based on the reviews though

  • @Mrtrekkie156 Naw dude you should watch it. I don't listen/read reviews anymore because what matters is what you think. I watched this film a while back and I thought it was good. I enjoyed it. ^_^

  • this movie was bad.

and i think it´s inappropriate for a bad movie to afford the death of one of the greatest movie heroes of all time!

WITHOUT the death of kirk the movie would be just a weak star trek movie that is still watchable, but WITH kirk´s death it´s almost unbarable.

how could anyone piss the star trek fans off on such an epic scale?!

i mean could´nt the script writers create a story where, in the end, kirk finds his way back to the 1701-B in the moment it got hit by the lightning?

  • Comment removed

  • This movie sucked beyond ass thanks writers who couldn't give 2 shits about STNG and laughed their way to the bank.

  • What a terrible trailer. It pretty much shows everything that happens in the movie. Why even watch it then?

  • As a kid, if I was bad, my father would make me watch Star Trek Generations. Nothing quite like seeing a childhood hero like Kirk die in such an inglorious, undignified way. At least Optimus Prime mortally wounded Megatron and died a martyr with his friends in the room. Kirk died under a bridge. Booo.

  • @TheOmegaParadigm Are you serious?

Wow, if my dad did that to me, I'd forget there was a word "bad" LOL

    Generations was B. A. D. BAAAAAAD!!!!!!!

  • @StoneKnivesBearskins My dad didn't need to hit or yell, he knew what made me behave. He used to tell me scary stories of new and terrible Star Trek movies that would only continue to distort the purpose and message of the show, movies that would make Picard out to be a different character and destroy the fictional authenticity in any way they could, as they did with Kirk. Frighteningly enough, most of them came true.

  • I like the trailer better than the movie

  • I may be the only person alive who actually liked this movie.

  • @BattleGroupOmega Its on tv right now

  • @BattleGroupOmega nope. i liked it too. when i was younger it was my favorite trek movie lol

  • Kirk: you say History considers me dead?

Kirk: Who am I to argue with History.

Pichard: your a StarFleet Officer, you have Duty!

Kirk: I don't need to be lectured by You.

Kirk : I was out saving the Galaxy when your Grandfather was in diapers.

Way to go Kirk that's telling him.

  • @Astraldragon1

Yes but who is alive at the end of the movie, ohhhhh burn...sorry i dont really care i was just being a dick for fun.

  • Slipped off a bridge... Really???

  • This trailer gives away EVERYTHING (except how painful the movie is to watch).

  • @kranktank are you kidding out of the 3 films featuring the TNG cast this has to be number 2

first contact, generations and then right at the bottom of the pile nemesis (now that one was painful to watch)

  • Oh for god sake!! They used recycled music from Star Trek VI.

  • This movie is one of the worst pieces of s**t ever. Not only does it not make any sense, but it also ruined the Star Trek TNG movie franchise from the go. Why pass the torch? TNG had clearly been in existence for years. It was brilliant. This movie wasn't.

  • @guywhodances I think it was more a case of awkward execution, rather than a bad idea. Fortunately, as we see by the time of the next movie, they'd learned much, which, in many ways, was true of the first and second ORIGINAL Star Trek movies as well.

  • I love this movie

  • Infinite

  • The trailer gave away too much of the movie. Showing the warp core breach was too much.

  • This is possibly the worst movie in the entire series. I even like Spock's wacky brother looking for religious enlightenment better than this. it's a tossup between this and the first movie as to which is worst.

  • @Cabbageboy316

You just had to put that in about the first movie, didn't you? Now you force me to comment on your totally nonsensical comment, because the first movie is still the third best of them all (after Khan and Star Trek 2010). Sorry. not accepting any counter arguments.

  • @Cabbageboy316

i think the first star trek movie was bad as hell! the acting, the uniforms, the story, barely no humor....just awful!

and that comes from a german!

we are known to have bad taste. LOL ;-)

see how bad this movie must be? ;-)

  • @gallai1 by the way, do you find toilet humor funny? because I've heard that most germans don't

  • @neonWHALE002

    well.....actually no.

but it´s ok if it´s controlled and not too much like in this "scary movie series" where it´s meant to be funny to shoot gallons of different body liqiuds across the room....then i have to say: FROM ALL MY HEART => NO! ;-)

i love this kind of humor like in HANGOVER or DUE DATE....or the old mel brooks movies like SPACEBALLS and HISTORY OF THE WORLD. ;-)

AND (call me crazy but it´s the truth) i like the old jerry lewis and dean martin movies as well. ;-)

  • 1994

  • Nice transition between old and new crew.

  • I can forgive the destruction of the Enterprise D, but I really, really, REALLY wished they hadn't killed off Kirk.

  • @SSJ3Trunks91 but Kirk would be dead by Picard's time anyway :)

  • @neonWHALE002 I meant I wished Kirk hadn't died during the fight with Soran

  • @neonWHALE002

but it´s a shameful ending for captain kirk! killed by falling off an breaking bridge? EEEEEWWWWW!!!! PUKE!!!

at least they coul have show him dying as an old happy man in his bed, surrounded by his friends, followed by a giant funeral ceremony with his friends and our heroes!

but i´m afraid shatner set the headstone for such an ending by himself by letting kirk, in star trek 6, say:

"i always knew.....i would die alone...."

but his death still annoys me...

  • @gallai1 yeah I'm not too happy with the ending either, would it have been a lot better if picard was somehow knocked unconscious in the fight scene after a while and kirk was left to stop soran and save the stellar system but the only to do that was to do the same thing is what picard did (leave the clamps locked on the missile which by the way should've made a huge explosion if it was meant to destroy a star) and knowing this he'll die from the explosion, alone?? I just thought it up

  • @gallai1 , he died doing what he does best Saving the Galaxy. as he allways did during his career..there is nothing wrong with dieing doing what you do best saving lives. as for his statement of ""i always knew.....i would die alone...."" it's true he did die alone Spock and the rest of his crew were not their to save him as they allways had done before.

  • it was a touching film that ended captain jame st kirks journey as a starfleet officer

  • @theman2017inc

we have this in germany once a year on the channel "kabel eins".

they do the same thing....and i love it. ;-)

but they show TWO movies in a row on five consecutive saturdays.

  • Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful!

  • Any reason the trailer shows you exactly everything that happens in the movie?

  • @GrumpyG58 yea man... I WAS going to watch it....... but now....... I probably will, AFTER I forget seeing this trailer...

  • @GrumpyG58 buddy how old do u think this trailer is... back then they didnt know how to make trailers lol XD

  • @GrumpyG58 because very little happens in the movie.

  • @GrumpyG58

    Yeah, really...

  • Star Trek plus Gustav Holst!

  • Seeing the ENT-D crash and Captain Kirk die was sacraligious.

  • i didnt care so much that kirk died.... but man if data's cat had died i'd have been pissed

  • This trailer is better than the movie. It makes it look like Kirk is actually on-board the Enterprise-D and working with the TNG crew- which would have been a helluva better scenario than having just the two captains duking it out with a mad scientist in the middle of the desert. This movie has SO MANY missed opportunities. Unfortunately, this trailer only helps show the glaring epic "what if's" that the feature itself failed to deliver.

  • I'm not a very big Trekkie, but I love this movie. But as a kid I used to see TNG.

  • I remember watching this in the movie theatre when it came out. ^^

  • alhough it has many logical errors, this movie was a real star trek movie. to see picard and kirk working together is unique

  • It's Kind of disappointing to not see Spock and It was also sad that Kirk Die.

  • @Btushinsky83 cause spock had better shit to do than appear in a movie he thought would suck, and it did suck lol

  • i feel some of the writing decisions in the new star trek film were to fix the mistakes made by this one aka kirks death and so on.

  • I've never been a Star Trek fan but I like this movie.

  • The movie sucks, First Contact is much better!

  • This is one of the best Star Trek movies. 'Nuff said.

  • Wow! I want to see the movie this trailer advertises.

  • How much of Star trek tng should I watch before I watch this movie? I am watching the tng series right now and I don't wanna watch this movie it ifs gonna spoil some of the tv series

  • Kirk died in this one ۶.۶

  • The Enterprise-D was one of my favorate ships. she is a good galaxy class ship as well

  • This trailer is schizophrenic... I mean it's all over the place. I've seen the movie several times and now I'm just confused. Also, I stopped being a fan of the TNG franchise when the Enterprise-D was destroyed. I know they had their reasons, but I don't care. That ship was the star of the show, whether or not anyone wants to acknowledge it.

  • What's the music that plays in the first thirty seconds?

  • 0:27 Sentry down (library sound effects ftw)

Those who think this is the worst movie must not have seen "The Search for Spock", "The Voyage Home", and "Insurrection".. Id rather pass a kidney-bat'leth than watch those movies again. Thats right. I didnt like Star Trek III.

And those who hate funny Data OBVIOUSLY didnt watch any early TNG eps. I mean, the finger cuffs, the comedy club, the sneezing, Qs laugh, and remember when data was drunk and was fully functional?

I less than three this <3

  • Does anyone else think it's hilarious that they killed off Shatner twice in this movie? lmao

  • It gives you the impresion kirk will do something in the movie, he didn't.

  • one of my least favorites, but still good.

  • in what TNG season did this movie come out?

  • @SickDream season 7 which was the final season in 1994.

  • I love this Star Trek movie. Funny how the trailer is edited like Kirk actually is on Enterprise-D^^

  • Did anyone notce kirks last words were "oh my"? And I thought sulu would say that on his death bed!

  • I could understand the reaction toward the deaths of Kirk and the Enterprise-D,but other than that, I really don't see why y'all is hatin' on Generations.

  • Yeah...that and the destruction of the Enterprise...it was my favourite ship =(

  • @SecurityEscort

the enterprise-d grows on me even though i prefure a connie

  • Man, this trailer REALLY does lie.

  • God awful movie

  • This movie came out the same year that Jack from Jack in the Box came back to life. Jack in the Box was actually promoting the movie.

  • Rofl 1:52

    IN BEFORE THE LOCK!!

  • @youra6 :D

  • Hated to see Captain Kirk die in the movie ):

  • i actually cried, it was so sad =((((
