@Crazep0per actually Eggman's name in Japan was Robotnik "Eggman" was just a nickname they used in Japan because of his shape.

You guys, it's officially Mecha Sonic but most people call it Silver Sonic. The one in S&K was also called Mecha Sonic. Metal Sonic is the one from Sonic CD with the pointy nose.

@Luxai Dude, it's always been Eggman. When Sonic 1 was localized in the Western culture, they decided to name him Robotnik. In the English dub for Generations, Classic Tails called Classic Eggman, "Dr. Robotnik.". In the Japanese dub, he just said "Two Eggmans?!" So, in Western culture, it was Robotnik. Everywhere else, it was Eggman. It's only recently that SEGA of America decided to give him the full name, Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik.

Yeah its sort of a double edged sword. At one point it makes em look all premiumish but at the other point its just a stupid renaming for small, medium, and large, which in reality one could still use and the cashier person would still ring up the order.
