  • So who are those guys who pop up somewhere around 3.40? Defintley not Tull though clearly someones impersonating a pic of them from around this period. Sorry, maybe a Tull analist, but I would mark that as uncool. You either danced the dance or you didn't. Otherwise a marvelous group of pic, Berkeley Community Theater a good place to get a decent recording of them in this period.

  • Very rare pics of Jeffery. Thanks

  • Einfach nur schön

  • Yes it has been, but i love every minute of it!!

  • Oh

    My God!

has it really been that long?

  • is it me or does he act like a piped piper with his flute. luv this song!!

  • Curious coincedences!! My older brother was too (not tull) the one to turn me on to JT when I was 10 or 11 with Aqualung or Benefit!!

  • Awesome version! Ian's voice is incredibly strong and the band is so tight. Martin's guitar during the acoustic section adds a lot. And the Easter egg at 3:35 is actually the band Join In - do I win a prize?

  • I agree! My new favorite version.

  • My brother turned me on to Jethro Tull in the late '70's, glad he did ; )

  • terrible j'adore!

  • LOVE THIS! 1St. time I heard this I was 11 years old after my brother came back from the ARMY. Thank You!

  • Excellent!

  • One of the best performance of this song I have ever heard.

  • wonderfull pictures !!! thanks

  • I was at the Vancouver, BC show a couple of days earlier. Absolute insanity.

Yes opened, but no one knew who they were. Not even advertised on the bill.

  • @Rollingthunder2006 thats a shame....YES

  • Thanks Ben for posting this. This is like the Bomp! records version of Iggy and the Stooges Raw Power. In other words, even crazier than the original. One of the great rock riffs.

  • Thanks for posting these great audio clips of Tull in 71.You can plainly hear the amazing energy the band had back in those days.

  • Ben, thank you for this amazing recording!! I was thinking I would never hear such an early Tull recording, and with such a good sound :)

    Cheers,

  • I´d say it´s Clive on the drums.

  • @MrDanshark Barriemore joined band in May 71.This concert was on 6/20/71.

  • @lastdance10 Ow, well thanks, didn´t know that!

  • Wow. Ian could NEVER introduce the song Aqualung today they way he did back in 1971. Talking about "looking up the skirts of little girls" would NEVER be allowed today.
