  • Awesome car. I have a 67 with a done up 350. Not a 400 but it does the job. And I completely understand what you mean when you say you'll have it forever, so will I. Hands down one of the nicest muscle era cars ever made. Camaros are like assholes... Everybody has one. You don't see a lot of first gen Firebirds let alone 400's. Wish we could see some video of the finished car.

  • Rusty but trusty. SUCKS GAS AND HAULS ASS!

  • im selling a 1967 firebird 400 if you are interested msg me

  • yea keeping it forever is a good idea . i hope i can raise the funds to get me a 68 coupe for 4200. all it needs is a carb.

  • Nice car. I have a 68 Firebird 400 with 124k original miles in about the same condition except mine has the 3 speed automatic tranny... wish it was the 4 speed manual like u have.

  • I was restoring one of these a long time ago. I took it for a drive with no brakes thinking I could through it in reverse with my powerglide to slow it down. The trans was shot anyway and it did and would have worked except that the engine stalled and when I got it cranked I slammed the gas and through it in reverse going down a hill in a neighborhood and it smoked the tires and slid off into a yard and I almost ran over a kid. It came to rest on a gutter drainage culvert and got stuck on it.

  • is that fast? I just bought a 68 firechicken with a 400 it runs but i havent driven it yet due to junk brakes and rotten frame rails

  • wow !! an original 400 4spd!!! that was everything!! wish you hadnt restored it. it looked like all it needed was a wash!!! awesome car

  • make another video of this gorgeous car

  • yeah i dont plan on selling it EVER lol i just keep it maintained and in the good condition that its in. I think i'll have it for ever

  • thats one sweet bird Godamn it has some low miles!!, good plan with her, wish more people would do this with these classics.

  • thats fucking sick man. I seem to see a lot more camaros from that era than firebirds. I don't know if there were more camaros made? or maybe more people just restore the camaros? eitherway thats a cool car.

  • question, are those hood scoops functional? Meaning do they let air get into the engine, or are they just mounted there for decoration

  • That sure is a hairy beast! Looks great! :) Jack

  • thats one hell of a car.... gotta love it

  • this is a 68 I made a mistake. My grandpa passed and left me his toy. God bless him

  • sweet, love it!no matter what they make today, they will never make em like that again

  • 67? but it has sidmarkers and no wing windows, very cool car though. im building a 67 400ci clone....

  • i wish i was you

  • love that sound of raw pontiac horse power must be a 400 cubic thats pretty damn good condition if it was just sitting since 1972 keep that car

  • nice find and it sounds pretty good for as long as it sat. anything new now that the car has been redone?

  • Mmmmmm - that sound!

  • a firebird could beat a porsche anyday nicer than the 68 camaro i got that was sitting since 82 long story short it pulled a titanic snap in half when i had the bright idea to use the winch to pull it on the tralior atleast it gave life to 3 other camaros that were being restored by other people

  • why leave comments like that ur car is sweet

  • nice car mate :)

  • My Porsche is faster and better...

  • bullshit

  • Comment removed

  • beautiful car... How much you want for it?

  • Thanks for the comments. It's got a 400. I do think it is a 68. It's ben sitting sence 73, 31k orginal miles

  • Did you just start before this video? Sounds Good!

  • This is a '68 firebird ('67s have a wing at the front of the window and they don't have the pontiac emblem on the back quarter panel), car still sound good

  • this looks like a 68 to me, er3 dot com/firebird is a 67

  • Hey jojo: Love this clip...did a double-take when I first saw it!
