You know, it is really cool that we can go online and find videos of General Lee, Knight Industries 2000, 1955 Lincoln Futura Batmobile, A-Team GMC Vandura, and many others. It has always been difficult to beat big bore performance. Liter vs Cubic Inches. On Science Channel some of the new electric cars have faster acceleration, comfort, and quiet. I don't know. Man, This is the Batman vs. Superman argument all over again. K.I.T.T is a super charged super computer on wheels that can jump from a stationary position, and go faster than his already ridiculous normal speed with SPM. The General was always cool, but it was only because of Bo and Luke. Plus the General is just a fast car that jumps a lot. (And has to get up to speed to do it.) Given a choice between the two, I would pick K.I.T.T every time. Just as I would pick Superman every time.

Just like K.I.T.T. cannot really do most of the things shown on TV, The General got fucked up EVERY time they jumped the bastard. There were literally hundreds of Chargers to sport that paint job. There was not even a fraction of that number of K.I.T.Ts, because they used ordinary Trans Ams for stunts.

The General. for sure, but I always wanted to see a Dukes of Hazzard/Knight Rider mashup. A two part crossover episode would have been awesome. Where I grew up, Dukes of Hazzard came on Fridays at 8:00 PM on Channel 10 in Philadelphia, and Knight Rider came on Fridays at 9:00 PM on Channel 3. 10 was CBS, 3 was NBC; ironically they switched network affiliations in the late 90s for some reason). NBC, CBS, it never would have worked.  What a shame.
