Israel decided to slightly cut down electicity in response for the Kassams on Sderot. Why is it wrong to shoot rockets into Israel? Because civilians might be killed? Children who have little or nothing to do with the conflict may be blown apart and murdered? Last year I read that the Gaza strip only had 1 power plant which was not in the best condition & clearly not enough for 1.5 million people (see the article in IEEE spectrum online). PS The street light are on in these pics because the power comes on and off daily sometimes several times. the camera shot was probably taken seconds after the lights come on in the street. Im sorry to tell you, but if your boyfriend doesnt want to get killed, he should stay out of the fighting. The fighting in gaza is mainly in desolated houses near the boarder, which are controlled by hamas armed soldiers. Also, it is well known that Hamas often causes children to go right into the crossfire- and then blame Israel for their death.
You should think about the recent gaza "no electricity"- Israel supplies 75% of gaza's electricity, while the fuel power station supplies around 5%.

I didn't say that Israel didn't decrease the electricity. I didn't say that there were no power outages either. Israel provides 124MegaWatts (over 60% of Gaza's electricity). Israel decided to slightly cut down electicity in response for the Kassams on Sderot. There was still enough electricity for the population but Hamas decided to use electricity for its Kassam factories instead.

Have you actually read a newspaper in the last two years? Israel physically left most of Gaza but kept control of it's power and resources. It's the most populated spot on our planet yet it lacks water and food. Look at google Earth, go to the border between Gaza and Israel and look at the colour difference... they're watering their rose gardens about a mile away from Gaza's slums! And it's like Coca Cola in India, they're sucking the water underneath the ground away form the Palestinian lands.
