May 30: Canadian doctors announced today that multi-drug resistant bacteria,isolated the bacteria from an 86-year-old man who has not travelled outside Ontario for at least the past 10 years and has had no obvious contact with anyone with a history of travel to India.

I definitely support changing the name of this bacteria, but what is more important at this stage to allow scientists take a measure of the toxicity of this strain within India. Indian climate, of course supports the growth and propagation of several bacterial strains, which can be more infectious due to abundance of unhygienic conditions around. however, I would doubt the severity of infection caused by this bacteria, as there would have been an epidemic if this was so infectious.
