Bahaha...oh yeah, braces!lol...i've got braces. Wow..impaled, eh? I can definitely say I've never had a catastrophe like that..although long ends are a pain. But I always carry a toothbrush at school cuz it aint nice to walk around after lunch with bits of rice and other stuff stuck in there. So, Lypur, what is the lesson learned? To superficially remove lettuce from above braces, swoosh as needed with a glass of water and refrain from utilizing the tongue. lol

Middle of a thunder storm, I was having my wires changed, and ALL of them were sticking out of my mouth.

Or I bit into a carrot and my wire snapped and sliced my tongue, hitting the main vein in it.

Or there was the time when I had my wires changed, and I had a new band put on one of my molar, and it wasn't put on right, so as soon as opened my mouth the band jumped off, pulling ALL the brackets and wires, pulling at my teeth.

It hurt SO BAD!

I have braces right now (two months left!!) and the only bad thing that's happened so far is that I got my scarf stuck in them once...which was actually really funny.

But I better knock on wood so that I don't jinx myself!

What a cringe induced tale. *shudders* I've heard about braces hurting because of the tightness, but them impaling your tongue, never. I need to get braces, since my teeth are pretty jacked up. I don't know if I should be horrified or thankful for making me aware of something that might happen once I get them.

^_^ I know it was pretty bad, I remember right after it happened, I was so pissed off at my braces that I wanted to rip them out of my mouth... Thankfully I didn't do that ^_^ but MAN it took about 3 weeks for the whole in my tounge to heal up. I would still get braces if it's something important to you, just be very careful around the ends of those wires...

The tounge takes all the abuse. I slice my tounge, Like tiny paper cuts on my tounge all the time on my brackets. My Worst experience is nothing compared to your's. You set a high standard. 1 year to go on my braces.

wow, im confused at to, how i should react, feeling sorry for your braces accident or amazement playing when you got to play a concert grand. but, nice to see another video of yours. by the way, what kindof sandwich were you esting?

No need to feel sorry :) it was just something I thought people might be interested to hear. The concert grand was AMAZING... compared to my grand at home, it's a completely different galaxy of playing. The bass is so deep and kingly, the treble just sparkles, the keys feel amazing, the touch control is unbelieveable, you can get the softest softs and the loudest louds i've ever heard. Everything in it is just so rich.

When I had tops about 7 years ago (only for a year, then another year of retainer, THEN another year, but only wearing it at night <_<) it wasn't that bad, but I found the first three days to be absolute hell, so much pain, couldn't eat solid food. I once broke my retainer due to my bad habit of shifting the retainer out of position and pinning it between my two teeth and biting down on the part that rests on the top of your mouth, it ended up snapping eventually. X_X
